Chino also fell into contemplation.
The technological threshold for creating Sentinel robots wasn't high—at least not for geniuses like Tony Stark and Dr. Zola, who could only be described as "monsters" in the realm of intellect. Even Mystique or the Skrulls possessed the capability to develop Sentinels.
But that didn't mean the tech was worthless.
After all, each of these brilliant minds was already juggling multiple high-priority projects. They simply didn't have the time or energy to focus on researching Sentinels from scratch.
If they could obtain Sentinel technology from another world, they could immediately initiate the Ultron Protocol.
The Ultron Protocol aimed to create a super-intelligent entity that surpassed the limits of human capability. With immense computing and analytical power, Ultron could predict and neutralize various threats in advance, monitoring and intervening globally to ensure peace and stability.
However, when Tony learned of the AI catastrophe that had happened in another universe, he had chosen not to proceed with the plan.
Now that a working prototype existed, it was worth a try.
Especially since Earth housed a Celestial embryo—meaning Earth couldn't sustain too many sentient lifeforms. Sentinel robots could theoretically replace humans in protecting the planet.
Tiamut, as shown in the movies, had chosen death over destroying Earth. Faced with such a selfless "nice guy," Chino didn't know how to handle him—so he decided to stall.
"Please save our world. I beg you."
Before Chino could respond, Logan (Wolverine) dropped to his knees.
Changing the past might not even work, and even if it did, the comrades he had fought beside for fifty years would vanish. The people who replaced them wouldn't be the same—it would be like killing them.
"There's no difference between that and murder," Logan whispered.
"…Alright. I'll do it."
"Uh…"
Logan was stunned. It was that easy?
"You head back first. I'll follow shortly."
"But…"
Before he could ask more, he received another punch to the head.
"Get lost. When the boss says something, it's final."
The White Queen (Emma Frost) only wanted her husband back.
"…Okay."
Logan could only choose to trust them.
He closed his eyes—and when he opened them again, he was back in his own world, disoriented and confused.

"What happened? Why am I kneeling on the ground? And why does my head hurt? Emma, did you hit me again?"
"Honey~!"
Emma happily hugged him.
"Gather everyone. We're having a meeting."
The mood instantly grew serious.
Fifteen minutes later.Demon Corp Conference Room
"That's the situation. I plan to activate the Ultron Protocol. I'll need you to develop a virus that can infiltrate and control the Sentinels."
Chino laid out his plan.
"If it's just control you need, I can handle that personally," Dr. Zola said. "But I'll need a sample. If what you say is true—Sentinels with adaptive and self-evolving capabilities—I'll need to run tests."
"But are you sure you want to activate Ultron? Even if you give me another chance, I can't guarantee its safety," Tony said with unease.
The Ultron incident had not only led to deaths and massive economic damage but had also wiped Sokovia off the map. That land, now gone, remained a scar on the hearts of many.
"Of course. I have this." Chino pulled out the Demonic Contract.
Once again, he marveled at its versatility. It didn't require a soul—just self-awareness. Even a rock could be contracted if it had consciousness.
"I have no problem then, Boss," Tony said, a bit excited about completing the Ultron plan properly in this universe.
In the Post-Apocalyptic Mutant World
Logan opened his eyes.
"…It failed."
Bobby (Iceman) looked defeated. His voice dripped with hopelessness.
Their world hadn't changed at all. It was still a wasteland, steeped in despair.
Magneto didn't say anything, but his clenched fist betrayed his frustration.
"Logan, I'm just glad you're okay," Professor X said, relieved that his old friend had returned safely.
"Who said it failed? I didn't travel to the past—I went to another world.
"I saw another Magneto, another Professor X, and a new mutant leader.
"In that world, humans and mutants coexist peacefully. Some mutants have even become heroes. Professor, your path was the right one.
"I asked for their help, and they're already on their way."
Logan smiled.
But the mutants around him looked concerned.
"It's over. Logan's mind is gone. I never knew my powers had such a side effect," Kitty (Shadowcat) said, deeply guilty.
"It's not your fault. No one could've known," Bobby comforted her.
"Hey, I'm not crazy! Everything I said is real."
Logan hadn't seen the true depth of mutant life in that world, but he clearly remembered the cheers he received just walking down the street. That wasn't an illusion.
"But Logan… if the Professor's path is the right one… then why did we end up like this?" Storm asked, tears in her eyes.
To her, Logan's current state wasn't just due to Kitty's powers—it was the crushing weight of a hopeless future that had finally broken him.
Logan was stunned.
He remembered the video—how the Demon King fought in space, kicking stars like soccer balls.
"…Maybe the Professor just wasn't strong enough. If he had the power to blow up planets, he could've succeeded."
Now everyone looked at him not with doubt, but with pity.
"Logan, you need rest. The ones who blow up planets aren't mutants or humans… they're gods," Storm said softly, reaching for his hand to help him rest.
But Professor X looked thoughtful. He didn't know what Logan had seen, but he sensed the presence of another version of himself. And… who was this "leader" Logan had mentioned?
"Not all planet-busters are gods. Some could be demon kings."
A stranger's voice echoed through the air.
Magneto reacted instantly. A sharp metal spike launched from his hand like an arrow.
But it stopped mid-flight, reversed, and pointed at Magneto's own head.
"If you try that again, this metal will end up in your head."
Figures emerged from the shadows. One voice in particular struck Magneto as strangely familiar.
The others were stunned as they watched the group approach.
Among them were younger versions of Magneto, Professor X, Logan, Emma Frost, Iceman, Pyro, Mystique, Tony Stark, Hank, Dr. Zola…
And leading them all was a man in pajamas—clearly their leader.
"Logan's not crazy. Everything he said is true."
Bobby looked at the other Pyro and muttered, "I haven't felt this weak in a long time…"
Chino flexed his fingers.
None of his physical powers had transferred—only magical abilities were usable here.
"Nice to meet you," the older Professor X said warmly. "Though you seem to know me well already, I'll still introduce myself. I'm Charles Francis Xavier. You can call me Charles, or Professor."
Eric (Magneto) waved a hand, summoning a sleek, high-tech wheelchair behind Chino.
Facing this elder, Chino returned the gesture.
"Hello, Professor. I'm Chino, the Demon King of another world—and the new King of Mutants."
Two figures, both in wheelchairs—one old, one young.
Professor X looked at the group behind Chino. Humans, mutants… all united.
"Logan was right," he said. "You're stronger than me—not just in power, but in spirit."
His eyes shimmered with pain, memories, confusion… and joy.
For a long time, he had doubted whether his path was the right one. Whether he was leading his people down a dead-end.
But now, in his moment of despair, someone had appeared—firmly standing before him—proving that his path was right.
How could he not be overwhelmed?
Quote of the Chapter:"Hope is not lost when the path is dark—it's reborn when someone else walks it and brings light."
