Chapter 669 - Chapter 669

Takumi didn't pay much attention to the winery after it was built.

The others acted quickly as well.

Within a single day, Xiao Zhang had gathered all the necessary people. Then he took them to Guiliyuan to purchase materials.

Following Nuwa's instructions, Xiao Zhang went directly to the designated shops.

This time, he brought his father along.

When his father saw the materials, his eyes lit up. They were clearly good-quality goods.

Understanding his father's reaction, Xiao Zhang immediately knew what to do. He began bargaining with the shop owner and mentioned he wanted long-term cooperation.

Hearing about a long-term partnership, the shop owner was surprised.

He had never heard of a winery at Qingcezhuang.

"We're the new winery in Qingcezhuang. Lord Takumi established it," Xiao Zhang explained.

The moment Takumi's name was mentioned, the shop owner agreed without hesitation.

"Ah, Lord Takumi's winery? In that case, no problem. I'll give you a discounted price. But these prices only apply for long-term cooperation. We'll need a contract."

With Takumi's name attached, the owner knew no one in Liyue would dare impersonate him.

Xiao Zhang naturally had no objection. Signing a contract was not an issue.

They finalized everything on the spot.

All brewing materials could be purchased here, and they were all good quality—after all, they were recorded and approved by Nuwa.

After the contract was signed, Xiao Zhang listed the items he needed for the first batch.

The quantities were large. Seeing the truck Xiao Zhang had brought, the boss said:

"Next time, just call ahead. I'll have someone deliver the goods so you won't need to come all the way."

Since they had a long-term agreement, door-to-door delivery to Qingcezhuang was easy enough.

Of course, Xiao Zhang accepted.

With that settled, he told the workers to start loading the truck.

Once everything was packed, they prepared to return.

As for the grain used to make the wine, it could all be purchased locally in Qingcezhuang, so he didn't buy any from outside.

Those materials were already in place.

Back in Qingcezhuang, Mr. Zhang and the workers began fermenting the grain ingredients.

They fermented in batches: one batch on the first day, another on the second, and so on—ensuring production would never stop.

For almost a week, they focused on fermentation.

During that time, they also ordered wine jars.

Fortunately, Qingcezhuang had its own kiln. There was no need to order pottery from elsewhere.

The kiln's business usually wasn't great—they were too close to Wuwangpo, and most of their ceramics were sold only to Guiliyuan or Liyue Harbor as ordinary tableware.

High-end teahouses ordered custom pieces from elsewhere.

So now, with a brand-new winery opening, the kiln found new life.

Xiao Zhang had contacted them early, and they immediately agreed, beginning production the same day.

With everything ready, the winery's first batch officially began brewing.

Xiao Zhang even informed Takumi.

Upon receiving the news, Takumi and Ningguang went to Qingcezhuang.

They had nothing pressing to do, so Takumi, Ningguang, Keqing, Shenhe, and Nuwa Al all headed to the winery together.

Seeing Takumi arrive with two of the Liyue Qixing instantly made the workers nervous.

"Is everything ready?" Takumi asked as he inspected the interior. "If so, let's start."

Mr. Zhang nodded.

"It's all prepared. We just need to light the fire. Master Takumi, would you like to do the honors?"

He looked at Takumi with anticipation.

All the firewood had been gathered from Wuwangpo. The winery didn't use electric stoves—wood-fired wine tasted noticeably different from electrically heated batches.

Ancient recipes specifically required wood fires; some even required certain types of wood.

Now the large stoves were fully packed. They only needed to be lit.

Takumi smiled.

"No need for such ceremony. You can do it yourselves. Let's just begin."

He didn't care about formalities. Results mattered more.

Mr. Zhang nodded and immediately instructed the workers.

As the furnaces were lit one by one, smoke rose from the chimneys and drifted into the sky.

Well, carbon emissions were definitely above normal.

But in this world, pollution wasn't much of a concern. The elements and leylines naturally dissolved and purified impurities.

That was why Takumi never worried about environmental issues here.

Everyone watched with interest as the first brew began.

Workers simply had to watch the fire and monitor the flow of wine.

At this moment, Ningguang asked:

"What about the leftover grains from brewing? How will we deal with the slag?"

Takumi raised an eyebrow.

After thinking briefly, he said:

"Use it for raising pigs. Qingcezhuang already keeps many pigs, all free-range in the forest. They can eat the leftovers."

Indeed, Qingcezhuang raised many pigs, and it was one of the village's sources of income.
