"I see. So you successfully stole one of your husband's dolls for me, huh?"
Loona nodded. "Yes..... He brought with him a box full of them. I stole one when he was in the bathroom, and made sure to close and tap the box as it was. Let me get it."
She reached beneath her bed and pulled it out.
"It's impressive that you managed to steal one after watching your husband appear out of nowhere with an entire box of those dolls."
Loona lowered her gaze.
She had never been as terrified as she was the previous night. By all rights, she should have screamed, frozen in place, or completely lost her mind when Josh appeared out of thin air. Yet one thought kept her anchored through it all—she couldn't afford to fail Asher.
She didn't want to disappoint him.
An overwhelming urge compelled her to carry out his orders without hesitation. Even though the unknown filled her with fear, the thought of disappointing him frightened her even more.
