After mutilating Christopher's face and allowing him to suffer a little pain, Arabel knocked him unconscious with one powerful blow before the effect of the black stone dissipated and he regained contact with his system.
"Are you disappointed?" Arabel asked Darkia, who had come here to enjoy the performance.

Arabel wasn't going to blindly believe Darkia's words and decided to wait until her connection to System was restored.
Then she remembered the existence of the slave collars, left over from their time in the incomplete world of Light and Darkness. She pulled out one of them and put it around Christopher's neck.
