"One must stay so that the others can continue on their way."
Nemo read the inscription three times before turning to the others.
Lucinda met his gaze and said, "One of us has to stay."
Nemo, like many others, was not happy with this turn of events.
He turned his attention back to the ice wall, hoping to find some new clue. But apart from this inscription, there was nothing on the wall.
"Kitty," Nemo called, and the black cat jumped up and turned into a dark spot, and then into his right hand.
Nemo reached out, touched the ice wall, and channeled mana into three circles on the back of his hand.
However, nothing happened.
The others weren't idle either. Each of them began to look around for some kind of clue, but in the end they couldn't find anything useful.
"That's enough," — Lucinda said.
"One of us has to stay," she stated.
The ice wall was exactly the same as at the beginning, when Nemo started the "Conquest" process. Lucinda was sure she wasn't mistaken.
