As per her words, Rael and Lilith were escorted inside the castle.
It was surprisingly nice, and although he didn't want to admit it, it was much nicer than the Celestara castle.
He honestly felt a little bit stupid.
All this money, and he hadn't even changed the cracked pillars inside the throne room.
What a shitty husband.
"So how was it?" Rael asked. "The first interaction, I mean."
Lilith shrugged. "It was more lukewarm than I expected. I honestly thought she might lunge at me and try killing me. She hated me since when I was younger, I got a lot of attention from father, even with my lack of a bloodline."
"Well, we're about to have drinks and food. Hope you have a poison tolerance," Rael said.
She let out a giggle.
"My poison tolerance is very high, but I don't want any food made in her castle. The merchants' food was good enough for me."
Now she's just being modest...
But at the end of the day, Rael wasn't going to force her to do something she didn't want to do.
