"Honestly, I wish I could say I had it worse, but my childhood was pretty tame compared to yours," Rael said matter-of-factly.
Gaia sighed. "Well, it's not a competition. Afterwards, my life was pretty tame for the most part. I grew up, killed the imperial family, then did some research, bettered my powers, and after getting strong enough, I shifted to a much more powerful world."
Chuckling, she added:
"Dungeons were only added after Uriel Ark's system. I was born around the same time as him, and yeah... It was much harder to get stronger back then. Tomes, powers of all sorts, stuff you essentially needed to learn. Now, you can just get gifted a skill and it is able to end worlds. It's stupid."
Rael shrugged. "I mean, stupid or not, I guess that's kind of my predecessor. Not that I'm offended or anything. I just feel like with this kind of system in place, there were more opportunities to get stronger. It's just that he placed a shit ton of limits."
