Downstairs, Shikamaru finalized the matter of the best man for tomorrow.
"Naruto, we'll come at the agreed time tomorrow to pick up the bride. Any problems with that?" Shikamaru asked.
Naruto smiled and said, "With you here, what other problems could there be?"
Shikamaru was truly worthy of being Naruto's future military advisor. From this moment, he had fully taken charge of planning everything for Naruto.
"Oh, by the way, Shikamaru—your groomsmen uniforms?" Naruto suddenly remembered.
Shikamaru rolled his eyes. "It's none of your business. I've already contacted the store. We'll go to try them on later. It's too late to customize, but the finished suits aren't bad."
"Ha!" Kiba laughed loudly. "When I put on a suit, I'll definitely be the second-handsomest guy there! The first-handome guy is reserved for Naruto, of course!"
Shino adjusted his glasses and said dryly, "kiba, you really know how to be humble."
Kiba bared his teeth at him and gave Shino a challenging look.
Shikamaru saw the time and said, "We have to go try the clothes. Naruto, let's move."
Everyone prepared to leave. Sasuke glanced at Naruto; after a brief nod, he followed Shikamaru, since he too needed to try on his suit.
Naruto watched them go, took a deep breath, and went upstairs.
"I'm back," he called as he pushed open the gate.
Inside, the house was brightly lit. Minato, Kushina, Obito, and Rin were busy preparing decorations.
Kushina stepped forward and took Naruto's hand. "You're back. Go take a bath, then get some rest. Tomorrow, you'll be the groom!"
Naruto smiled at the bustling household. "What are you all doing?"
Obito was inflating balloons, and Rin was tying them in place. Rin smiled at Naruto. "We're decorating your home. Without red balloons, there's no wedding atmosphere."
Minato laughed, adding, "We didn't even plan this at first, but when Rin came by, we couldn't resist. So many balloons—it feels more festive now."
Obito worked silently, puffing with effort. He wanted to complain but didn't dare. After everything he had done in Naruto's previous life, this was his way of atoning.
Naruto approached Obito. "Let me help too."
Obito quickly handed him the pump. "No, no! Go take a shower. Rin and I can handle this, and your parents are helping too. Focus on preparing yourself!"
Seeing he couldn't help, Naruto nodded and went to the bathroom. He stepped under the warm stream, humming to himself. Weddings were such a joyous occasion—it was impossible not to feel happy.
A knock sounded on the door. Minato opened it, revealing Kakashi.
"You're still busy, huh? I came to see if you needed help."
Obito immediately jumped up. "Kakashi! Help us with these balloons!"
Kakashi, amused, pressed down on the balloons as Obito and Rin guided him.
"How many balloons are there?" Kakashi asked, looking overwhelmed.
Obito grinned. "Ask Rin—she said the scene should be filled with balloons to create a red, festive atmosphere."
Rin chuckled. "Balloons make everything romantic. And tomorrow, during Naruto's wedding, there'll also be balloons flying in the sky, right?"
Kakashi glanced over the wedding plan. "Yes, there's even a plan to release peace doves. This wedding has diplomatic significance."
Indeed, Naruto's marriage was more than a personal celebration. As the bridge between the Five Great Nations, his union was a symbol of peace.
After finishing his shower, Naruto emerged, drying his hair. "Ah, Kakashi is here too!"
Kakashi held up a balloon. "I'll help with the decorations."
Naruto smiled and went to change into his casual attire. Afterward, he joined the group in decorating. With Naruto's clones assisting, the house was transformed quickly.
An hour later, the work was complete. Kakashi waved goodbye, taking Obito and Rin with him.
Naruto returned to his room at Minato and Kushina's urging. Lying on the bed, he stared at the ceiling, reflecting on how quickly time had passed—from his rebirth to the eve of his wedding. Memories flashed before his eyes, blending the past and present.
"Kurama, what are you thinking?" Naruto asked, drifting into a contemplative mood.
He then sat atop Nine-Tails' back, feeling the tailed beast's warmth and strength. "Ah, this feels so comfortable."
Nine-Tails opened one eye. "When did you become so sentimental?"
Naruto closed his eyes. "After everything I've experienced, it's natural to feel this way."
Kurama snorted. "Even after being reborn, you still have your silly emotions."
Naruto opened his eyes, smiling. "True. But, Kurama, you are the number one tailed beast, after all!"
He laughed and rested again on Kurama's back. Nine-Tails observed him, then lowered his head, closing its eyes, slightly amused.
On the eve of the wedding, Naruto found peace and comfort in Kurama's presence. Finally, he drifted off to sleep, ready for the happiness tomorrow would bring
