Stacy makes it at Speke Resort. It's exactly noon when she does. She asks the driver to take a spin around for some time because this could take her long. She then clears with the entrance and gets in. Meanwhile, Collin and Ivan are seated at a table opposite to the counter, busy on their phones. Collin the receives a text from Stacy. So he gets up and goes to her. Eventually they see each other.
COLLIN: Eh! You look so different from the last time we met. How are you doing?
STACY: Am good. You actually look different too.
COLLIN: ( He laughs softly) Oh please. So what's up?
STACY: Is he here?
COLLIN: Yeah( points) There he is!
STACY: ( Smiles) So shall we?
COLLIN: ( Returns the smile) After you! ( They both walk smartly towards the table that Collin had booked. On reaching, Ivan looks at both of them and smiles pleasantly. Collin gently pulls out a seat and helps Stacy to it).
IVAN: ( With a wide smile) Hello Stacy, long time no see! You look pretty as ever.
STACY: ( Returns the smile) Thank you for the compliment. How have you been?
IVAN: ( Ignores Stacy's question and looks at Collin) Won't you sit?
COLLIN: Nah.... I'll sit later. Let me first go get something for us. Am in the mood of walking. ( Ivan tries to give him facial gestures, which he ignores and leaves immediately)
STACY: ( Looking at him) So will you answer my question now?
IVAN: ( Question? What question?
STACY: How have you been?
IVAN: Great! I've been great. You?
STACY: Same.
IVAN: That's good. So...to what honour do I speak to you today. ( Stacy looks at his arm and notices that he didn't wear the bracelet)
STACY: ( calmly) She invites you to her birthday.
IVAN: I know. They told me.
STACY: So will you be coming?
IVAN: I'll think about it.
STACY: ( Changes tone) Think?
IVAN: Yeah. I have a lot of programmes to meet that day.
STACY: And the bracelet?
IVAN: I plan to give it to Romeo incase I don't make it. He'll deliver it to her with my apology. Besides, it's too beautiful and expensive for me.
STACY: ( Softly) Do you have any idea on how much she cares about you Ivan? Or you do but you just decide to turn a blind eye.
IVAN: ( Calmly) Stacy...do I look like I care? ( Stacy, on hearing this, her eyes became teary. She became speechless as all sorts of hurtful things ran through her mind. Ivan on the other hand looked at her plainly) You see what I hate about rich people...it's their hypocrisy. One day they are like this and the other day they are like that. So why do you want me there?
STACY: ( Weakly) Ivan ...what happened to you?
IVAN: I was like this. I have always been like this.
STACY: Did she ever do anything to you? Has any of us?
IVAN: Not at all. I just got fade up. I think I also hate rich kids now.
STACY: ( Keeps quiet for a while, wipes off her tears and gains a serious face) So tell me. Is it right for the trenches to go against the rich? Is it right for one to hurt another without cause? Would you skip a life just because you are arrogant? Or are you ignorant for the fact that that life exists!
IVAN: ( Looks at her plainly then speaks) Life without movement is wastage of time. And that is why I skip some lives in the process. It doesn't matter if that life exists or not. Besides, I don't deserve to be close to a goddess.
STACY: I refuse to believe that you don't care about her anymore!
IVAN: Does it matter?
STACY: To her, it does. A lot!
IVAN: And to you?
STACY: You have always been family to me!
IVAN: ( Holding his head)But why does she refuse to move on? Am literally not the only guy in the world for God's sake.
STACY: I think you know the answer to that
IVAN: I actually don't
STACY: Who's fault is it that you two are connected? You were in her life all these years...both by body and by blood. ( She keeps quiet then speaks up again) Now I want to tell you this...as long as that blood of yours still runs in her veins...as long as she still has her memory...she is going to be your responsibility and you will always be her priority. She has always chosen you over her self interests.
IVAN: ( laughs softly) You start to sound like an anime fan. That was years ago... people learn to move on.
STACY: Yeah. But what you should know now is that she is to move on with you.
IVAN: Huhhh....okay. What exactly do you want? Am starting to get tired of this.
STACY: You have to stop thinking about only yourself. Not all rich kids are bad. You of all people know that. And a goddess? Is it her fault for that nature?
IVAN: ( Keeps quiet and thinks for a moment) Okay! Point taken. So what's the catch?
STACY: You have to show up for her day. Even if it's just for a little while. Let her just see you there...it means a lot to her. Okay?
IVAN: ( Suddenly changes in moods. He's now more excited and happy) Okay. That's settled. Five days from now, I'll be coming. So let her know I received the invitation and dearly appreciate it.
STACY: ( With a sigh) Thank you very much.
IVAN: It's good. ( Keeps quiet.....then) You know, you're very much like your sister. The both of you are crying babies. Though she's on another level.
STACY: ( With a bright smile) We take it from our mother. But just one question Ivan.
IVAN: Yes?
STACY: ( Softly) Do you still care about Treasure?
IVAN: ( Scratches his head) I do now. Maybe not as much as then, but I think I little bit do now. You sure can talk. But is that all really?
STACY: Yeah. I just wanted to talk to you about her. ( There's a little silence between them then Ivan speaks up)
IVAN: By the way, try to make your sister's birth week a happy one. Bet she would love it.
STACY: I'll make sure of that! ( As they speak, Collin returns, escorted by a waitress who carries a tray with five glasses of different drinks. She places them on the table carefully and goes back to work).
IVAN: ( To Collin) What took you so long?
COLLIN: ( Smiling) Drinks from Paris take a lot of time. They are special.
IVAN: Classic! I'll have the red plum with ice cubes.
STACY: I'll have black berry plain.
COLLIN: ( Hands them the glasses) Here you go.
IVAN: So what's the water for?
COLLIN: Just incase the sugar sticks to your tongue, you'll need a cleanser.
IVAN: Nice one!
COLLIN: I told you. Good vibes come naturally. They'll always follow you around!
IVAN: ( mockingly) And I didn't argue either.
STACY: ( Placing down her drink) Guys, I have one request by the way.
COLLIN: Yes?
IVAN: What is it?
STACY: Treasure's birthday is well planned. But I was requesting that Collin stands in as the MC of the day. You see, it'll be her day and she will have to be comfortable. So having someone that she knows doing that will be the best.
COLLIN: ( excitedly) Oh, sure thing. But being an MC, I'll be in charge of the days programme right?
STACY: It's actually days' programme. Coz after the party on the 6th, we'll have some other things follow.
COLLIN: So is it fine if we come with you over to your house? I need to look at the place it will be held so I can know how to properly organise the thing.
STACY: Sure thing!
IVAN: ( Confused) We? You and who?
COLLIN: ( Laughs) Yes....me and you bro.
STACY: ( teasingly) What? You're scared?
IVAN: Me? Scared? Of what?
COLLIN: Then let's go.
IVAN: Alright!
