South Carolina was in flames.
After Jason's people completely took a city, the survivors were taken to the stadium where everyone had established a temporary base until the city was completely safe.
But in the meantime, everyone had to keep patience and morale. The work in general had increased, and after the first batch of soldiers that had been sent, many more arrived.
As for the Fireflies, all were taken to the Georgia base where they would be interrogated and depending on the results, Jason's people will decide whether they are a threat or not.
The days were difficult. Jason, together with military logistics experts, made a plan in a few hours to drive most of the walkers out of the city, but there were still thousands hidden in numerous buildings and underground subway tunnels.
…
The field where the S.C.T. soldiers operated was hell in life, especially when the objective is a complete cleansing.
Many soldiers died day by day, whether from accidents or from encountering special walkers. After all, the combat suit cannot save them all and sometimes there are failures.
Tony had always been a brave young man. He grew up in a family that valued courage and honor, and he always dreamed of serving his country. When the walker outbreak began, Tony was one of the first to enlist in the army. He knew he had the duty to protect his fellow citizens from the threat of the living dead and he was determined to do whatever was necessary to keep them safe.
Tony was sent to the front line of the war against the walkers in South Carolina, where he quickly proved to be a skilled and fearless soldier. He fought bravely against the hordes of the living dead, always putting the safety of his fellow soldiers and civilians first. He never hesitated to risk his own life if it meant saving someone else's.
One day, Tony and his unit were sent on a mission to eliminate a large horde of W-2 class walkers that had been detected near a densely populated area. The mission was dangerous and risky, but Tony and his companions were determined to complete it. They knew that if they failed, countless innocent lives would be lost and the task would become too late.
The reason a team was sent and not another group using special methods is because these walkers detect humans hidden under a walker mask. This is a fact that has been known for some time, and using a helicopter in such a closed area is definitely complicated.
As they approached the horde of walkers, Tony could feel his heart racing with anticipation. He knew this would be his greatest challenge so far, but he was ready for it. He had trained hard for this moment and trusted in his abilities.
The battle was bloody and intense. The walkers were relentless and seemed to attack the soldiers from all sides. Tony fought with all his strength, using his training and his weapons to hold back the tide of the living dead. But no matter how hard he fought, it seemed there were always more walkers to take their place.
As the battle went on, Tony could feel his energy fading. He had been fighting for hours and was exhausted. But he knew he could not give up. He had to keep fighting, no matter what.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the horde of walkers began to thin. Tony could see they were making progress and felt a surge of hope. But then, out of nowhere, a huge walker appeared. It did not look like any walker Tony had seen before. It was faster, stronger, and more intelligent than any of the others.
Tony knew he had to defeat this special class walker if they wanted to win the battle. He charged forward, his weapon raised. The special class walker met him head-on and the two clashed in a brutal fight.
The battle was fierce and Tony could feel his strength slipping away. But he refused to give up. He fought with everything he had, determined to finish off this special class walker to the very end.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Tony managed to land a fatal blow. The special class walker fell to the ground and Tony felt a surge of triumph. But then he felt a sharp pain in his side. He looked down and saw that he had been bitten by the walker.
Tony knew what this meant. He had seen it happen to many of his fellow soldiers. He himself was going to turn into a walker.
With tears in his eyes, Tony turned to his fellow soldiers and said, "Finish the mission…" With endless words in his chest, he gasped and only said, "Protect the future of humanity and always move forward with the commander. Report that there are special classes hidden in the buildings, I will hold the others back as long as I can."
And with that, Tony charged again, fighting the horde of walkers with everything he had left. He knew he did not have much time, but he refused to let his fellow soldiers down.
When the walker virus began to take hold, Tony felt his strength fading. But he kept fighting, driven by the knowledge that he was giving his life for the future of humanity.
Finally, Tony could not fight anymore. He collapsed to the ground, his body shattered by pain. He knew he was dying, but he did not regret anything.
And with his last drops of strength, he held a few grenades and the last words he said were: "Glory to humanity!"
Boom!
The great explosion destroyed all the remaining walkers and it was then that everyone learned there were many other walkers like the ones Jason and his people had eliminated before the operation began, so from now on everyone would go extremely prepared.
…
A few days later.
Underground subway station.
The elite S.C.T. soldiers advanced slowly and cautiously, weapons ready. They had been sent to neutralize a dangerous special class walker that had been terrorizing the area and they knew it would be a difficult fight.
When they approached the special class walker, they could see it did not look like anything they had seen before. It was enormous, easily twice the size of a normal human, and had a sharp claw on its right hand that gleamed menacingly in the flashlight beams.
The soldiers spread out, forming a loose perimeter around the walker. They knew they had to stay on guard at all times or risk being eliminated by the creature's deadly claw.
The giant walker growled threateningly, looking at the soldiers with what seemed to be a kind of twisted amusement. It was clear it enjoyed the idea of taking them down one by one.
The S.C.T. soldiers, however, were not intimidated. They had been trained for moments like this and knew how to work together as a team.
With a sudden burst of speed, the giant walker charged at the soldiers, its claw slicing through the air. The soldiers reacted quickly, dodging and weaving to avoid the deadly strike.
One of the soldiers, a man named John, managed to land a slanted blow with his rifle. The special class walker roared in pain, but it was clear the hit had only made it angrier.
The soldiers continued circling the walker, looking for an opening. They knew they had to stay out of reach of the creature's deadly claw, but they also needed to find a way to finish it.
After several minutes of intense fighting, the soldiers finally found their chance. The special class walker lunged forward and its claw stabbed at one of the soldiers. But this time, the soldier was ready.
With a quick move, he dodged the attack and then, in a moment of desperation, threw himself at the zombie. The enemy was caught by surprise, and the soldier managed to drive his knife deep into its chest.
The giant walker let out a terrible cry and then fell to the ground, dead.
The soldiers released a collective sigh of relief. They had won, but it had been a very hard-fought victory.
As they regrouped and began to return to the base, the soldiers reflected on what they had just achieved. They had faced a deadly enemy and had emerged victorious. And although they knew there would be more fights like this in the future, they were ready to face them head-on.
For the elite soldiers of the S.C.T., there was no challenge too great, no obstacle too daunting. They were the best of the best and knew they had the skills and determination to face whatever came their way.
