A Sudden Arrival
Kuroyami stared at the golden-armored figure hovering in the sky.
Michael, the leader of Heaven's forces, radiated an overwhelming divine aura that made the entire battlefield feel lighter yet suffocating.
Rias and the others in the sky couldn't believe what they were seeing.
Issei, who had just regained consciousness, immediately passed out again.
Akeno's usual teasing smile was replaced by a serious expression. "Michael-sama appearing in person… This is not normal."
Kiba narrowed his eyes. "For Heaven's leader to get involved… Just what is Kuroyami hiding?"
Koneko muttered, "Dangerous."
Back on the battlefield, Sirzechs folded his arms, his eyes filled with curiosity.
"Michael, what brings you here?"
Michael's golden gaze didn't leave Kuroyami.
"Him."
Kuroyami raised an eyebrow. "Tch. First the Underworld's strongest wants to fight me, now Heaven's leader is interested? What's next? Dragons? Gods?"
Michael remained serious.
"Kuroyami Saisei… You are a being who should not exist."
The air froze.
Sirzechs' expression sharpened. "What do you mean?"
Michael's wings flared, his presence growing heavier.
"Beings with this much power do not come from nowhere. I have seen humans, devils, and even dragons rise in strength. But someone like him?"
Michael's eyes narrowed.
"He is an anomaly."
Kuroyami's smirk didn't fade. "Anomaly, huh? I like the sound of that."
Sirzechs' interest only grew. "Michael, are you implying Kuroyami isn't human?"
Michael shook his head. "He is human… but his existence defies fate."
Kuroyami let out a small chuckle. "Let me guess—some divine prophecy says I shouldn't be here?"
Michael's silence spoke volumes.
Kuroyami's smirk widened. "Yeah, that's what I thought."
A Test From Heaven
Michael's hand glowed with holy light.
"I must confirm something."
Sirzechs' expression darkened. "Michael…"
Michael raised his hand.
"Kuroyami Saisei—fight me."
The ground shook.
Rias' breath caught in her throat. "What?!"
Akeno's eyes widened. "Ara~ This is escalating rather quickly~"
Kiba clenched his fists. "A battle between Sirzechs and Kuroyami was already beyond reason… But now Michael too?"
Kuroyami sighed, rubbing his neck.
"First the Underworld's strongest. Now Heaven's strongest. What's next? Ophis? Great Red?"
Michael remained calm. "We must see the truth."
Kuroyami grinned. "Fine. But I'm not going easy on you."
Michael raised his hand. A massive golden magic circle expanded behind him, holy swords forming in the air.
"I wouldn't expect you to."
BOOOOM!
The fight began.
Clash of Darkness and Divinity
Michael moved first.
With a single gesture, hundreds of holy swords rained down like divine meteors.
FWOOOOOSH!
Each sword carried enough holy power to obliterate a devil.
But Kuroyami?
He didn't even move.
SLASH!
One swing.
Every single sword vanished.
The air split as his Dark Cloaked Slash erased everything in its path.
Michael's eyes narrowed.
"Impressive."
In an instant, he appeared behind Kuroyami, his hand glowing with divine energy.
"Judgment Palm."
Kuroyami's instincts screamed.
He twisted—but too late.
Michael's palm struck his back.
BOOOOOOOM!
A wave of divine retribution surged through Kuroyami's body, sending him crashing into the ground.
The battlefield shook violently.
Dust filled the air.
Sirzechs and the others watched in shock.
Rias gasped. "Did that actually hurt him?!"
Michael hovered above the crater, his eyes unreadable.
"…You are powerful, but can you withstand divinity?"
A deep chuckle echoed from the dust.
Michael's eyes widened.
"Heh. That actually stung a little."
The dust cleared.
Kuroyami stood there, cracking his neck.
His body was unscathed.
Michael's gaze hardened. "Impossible. That attack contained divine purification—something no human should endure."
Kuroyami smirked.
"Too bad for you… I ain't a normal human."
His sword glowed with absolute darkness.
"Dark Cloaked: Dimension Slash – Absolute."
He swung.
This time, even Michael's eyes widened.
Because this wasn't just cutting space.
This wasn't just cutting reality.
It was cutting the very concept of divinity.
The air screamed.
The golden magic circles shattered.
Michael barely raised a shield of holy energy—
CRACK!
The shield broke instantly.
Michael was sent flying back.
An Unforeseen Conclusion
Michael landed, his expression unreadable.
Silence.
Then, he slowly exhaled.
"I see now."
Sirzechs tilted his head. "See what?"
Michael's golden eyes locked onto Kuroyami.
"He is not Heaven's enemy."
Sirzechs chuckled. "Took you long enough to realize."
Michael's aura slowly faded. "There is no prophecy of destruction linked to him. He is merely… outside of fate's influence."
Kuroyami stretched. "So, what? You gonna leave me alone now?"
Michael gave a small smile.
"For now."
With that, he vanished in a golden light.
The battlefield was left in silence.
Sirzechs sighed. "Well, that was entertaining." He turned to Kuroyami. "You seem to attract strong opponents quite easily."
Kuroyami smirked. "I know, right?"
Rias and the others finally landed, their expressions filled with disbelief.
Akeno giggled. "Ara~ Not only did you fight the Devil King, but also an Archangel? Kuroyami-kun, you certainly know how to make an impression~"
Kiba smiled wryly. "At this point, is there anyone he can't fight?"
Koneko muttered, "Monster."
Issei, who had regained consciousness, immediately fainted again.
Kuroyami simply grinned. "Well… That was fun."
Sirzechs chuckled. "Indeed. But something tells me… this is only the beginning."
