Runa fixes her dress as the spotlight shines. She clear her throat and grinned.
"Nothing." She announced.
Eros's knuckled turn white. "What?" Runa tilt her head. "Well nothing from you, Mr.Jason. After all I don't use my children to spy on someone I hate." Runa chuckled at Eros. Quinn cover his mouth, seeing Eros get put down a little.
Usher nudge her side. "What am I, cheap pawn?"
Runa crossed her arms. "You're not my blood." Quinn bit his finger then clicked his teeth. "What do you want?"
Runa spins herself as she does a bow. "I want is.....world peace." Quinn put his hands on his hips and leaned into her. "Cut the shit, Runa!" Quinn's voice was ice cold.
Runa scoffed. "Right like I say I don't want anything, I'm under someone else's lease and you know them well. Right Quinn?" Runa fixed his tie.
Quinn hummed and removed her hands. Susannah clapped her hands as everyone turned to her breaking the violence silent. "Now, now this is a party for anyone." She grinned.
"Susannah?" Quinn question her. Runa tilt her head. "Thank you, Susannah here to honors." Runa raise her glass as Susannah did the same. "Here to success."
Quinn moved Susannah to the side. "But I'm not here for this small talk." Runa chuckled, "Right as always Jericho, am here to give a warning." Runa slammed her drink on the ground.
"She is coming for all mafia." Runa quoted. "You mean the Mayor?" Eros but in. Runa shrug. "Who else but a higher power."
Eros smirked. "She has been hating you guys." Quinn clicked his tongue. "You mean us?"
Runa's heel clicks on the floor as she surrounds Quinn. "No, but I am surprised that he has a great relationship with the Mayor."
"Is that all Runa?" Susannah crossed her arms. "I gone, though great pain trying to break you." Runa poke her eye patch. Susannah glared at her. "Why?"
"Why?" Runa scoffed. "My dear you have the very power as Una herself 2,000 years ago. Powers that needed to be trained."
"Una?" Susannah bit her lip. Runa look at her nails. "Why do I know your family history more than the blood itself. Una Talons the Belladonna herself."
"Why must I break?" Susannah asked as Runa now walk around her. "It's a party, Susannah drinks, eats and no more questions." She pass Susannah a drink. Usher walked behind her. "Care for a dance?"
Susannah chug her drink down. "How did you find yourself with Runa?"
Usher scoffed. "You asked too many questions, just dance." He reached her hand out. Susannah's hand almost touch his, a dagger got between them.
"Sorry my hand slipped." Quinn smirked. Susannah grabbed Usher's hands. "Let go, Usher." As Usher waves at him. Quinn reached out but Eros grabbed his shoulder. "Let them go, Quinn."
"Yeah whatever, Eros." Quinn grab a drink. "Do anyone believe Runa?" Clover was leaning on the wall. Esper nodded, "Of course not, but "Una herself" and not to mention not even the HeadMaster knows." Esper fixed her dress.
"The Mayor I wonder if she knows." Sirius cross their arms. "On it." Jasper pulls out his holo laptop and starts hacking. Seraphine lean over his shoulder. "You're amazing at that." Jasper covers his mouth hiding a blush.
"Yeah but guys the Mayor is a powerful person maybe-" Valenica try to stop them. "Esper I brought over your sweet." Larson smiled. "Thanks Larson." Esper punched his shoulder.
"You two seem close." Sirius smirked. Larson tilt his head, "We are friends are we not?"
"Yeah anyway how that hacking, Jasper?" Esper chuckle nervously. "Water tight, she bonna good." Jasper sighed.
"We might have to check our self." Valenica stared at Susannah and Usher who was on the dance floor.
"You look peaceful." Usher smiled. "Answer my question." Susannah sighed. Usher twirl her around.
"Fine. Dead Dad,up in neck debt Mom, sold off to Runa. Got to know the off mask Mayor and her ways." Usher smiled.
"Oh." She looks sad. "Eww pity."Usher pulled her closer.
"I'm not one to admit my shortcomings but I know nothing of my family." Susannah turns her back to him as they sway on the floor.
"I would say you're the lucky but-" Usher turned her around and dip her head as he lean in close to her ear.
"The more you learn about your family the better." Usher pull her up.
"Too close, boy." Quinn snarled. Usher pull Susannah's hand up. "So protective." He kiss her hand.
"Hmmm." Susannah move her hand. Quinn pulled out his gun, "That's it!" Susannah grab his forearm and drag him. "Corner now!" She barked. As she crossed her arms.
"I can handle myself." She rolled her eyes. Quinn scoffed at her response. "Really now you can't, he kisses your hand." Susannah flip her braid off her shoulder. "Well he is not the first." Quinn gasped and clench his teeth, "Not the first?!"
"Like you haven't been keeping a secret for 19 years." Susannah chuckled. Quinn step back. "Lily." He sounded hurt by that but he really couldn't be mad at her. Susannah moved him to the side.
"Just stay out of trouble for once." Susannah walks away as Clover walks beside her. "So you and Usher?" Clover smirked. Susannah's arms turn into a x. "No way."
Esper lean into Jasper's shoulder. "So this is Mayor Quinn?" Japer's hologram shows a middle age woman that looks just like the HeadMaster but her hair was in a bobcut wearing a business dress with a white bow tie. Susannah walks over to them.
"Yes her term is almost up guess she wanted to make one final move until her final days." Susannah crossed her arms. Larson grab his shoulder. "Final days?"
"She is dying." Susannah places her hands on her hips. Seraphine looks up with somewhat joy. "Bonna." She whispers.
Jasper rubs the back of his neck. "So we are playing the waiting game or making a move our self?"
Susannah sat down. "You guys are about to graduate soon."
Valenica's eyes lit up. "Does that mean-" Susannah nodded. "I can finally tell you what happened to your parents, Valenica."
Valenica smiled. "No thank you."
Esper looked at her. "Really now?" Valenica nodded, "Yes and I know this is gonna sound mean but wanted to do better than my parents."
Susannah grinned. "Understood I still have the info when you're ready." Quinn walk over. "Lily?"
"Hmnp!" Susannah walk away from him. "You're being cruel." Quinn frowned. Over at the food table, Clover and Larson were talking.
Clover looks at Larson. "How do you feel about relationships?"
Larson point at himself. "M-Me I don't mind holding hands or hugging but when it comes to sex I never wanted that." Larson fills his plate up.
"Oh your asexual." Clover was a little shocked by that seeing he loves helping everyone.
"Yes and you?" Larson asked him. Clover turned his eyes to Seraphine and Jasper who was talking. "I never want a partner, in fact being alone always sounds more like a dream." Clover explains.
"Oh I see."Larson nodded. Eros walks over to them. "Hello Son."
"Father." Clover blurted out. Eros put his hands on Larson's shoulders.
"Larson my boy, can you please excuse us?" Eros smiled.
"Yes Sir." Larson walks away with his plate. Eros lean into Clover. "Do you have the info I need on MoonFlower?"
"Of course not?" Clover chuckled, Eros placed a hand on his son's shoulder. "Clover my boy-" Clover move his hand. "Father you remember Head Mistress Belinda?"
Eros flinched. "I suggested you behave yourself for a while This is a party." Clover walks away. Leaving his Father shaking. "Holy bonna I spoke to my Father like that." He whispered.
Larson was eating until Esper grab his arm. "I'm actually dating, Larson."
"Huh?" Larson tilt his head. Her parents were here. "Is that true?" Nicolette asked. Larson pull Esper close to him.
"Yes Ma'am, me and Esper got close in school I do like to say sorry for not saying anything." He smiled at them.
"I'm just glad, Esper found someone." Everest's voice sounded soft but with a hit of sickness in it. Esper walked over to him, "Dad."
"Don't mess this up." Nicolette crossed her arms. "I'm not you." As her parents walk away, Larson bump into Esper.
"So dating?" Larson joked. "Sorry man." Espe sighed. Larson crossed his arms, "I don't like being used, Esper." Larson said.
"Please I will do anything-"
Larson grabbed her hand. "Dance with me then?"
Esper looks confused by that. "That's all?" Esper fixed her dress. Larson pulled her closer. "Yes." As they made it to the dance floor. Jasper and Sirius were in a corner of the ballroom.
"Should I ask Seraphine to dance?" Jasper whispered. Sirius jokes around with him. "Oooooh." Sirius punched his arm. "Ow, come on dude I'm serious." Jasper rubs his arm. Sirius pushed him to her. "Go ahead then!" Jasper laughed and turned to them.
"And Sirius sorry for calling you a girl the first time we met." Jasper rubs the back of his neck.
"Don't worry about it." Sirius smirked. Seraphine walks over to Jasper. "What are you guys talking about?"
Jasper cleared his throat. "Care to dance?"
"Sure why not?" Seraphine pulled him closer. Sirius chuckled. "So lovely." Susannah lean into them. "Yes it is."
Runa was in a empty hallway as her phone buzzed.
"Ma'am."
A woman was in the hotel wearing a blue robe holding a beer can. "I have an interview tomorrow at another city, come." She hung up. Runa fixed her hair. "Yes Mayor."
