KIAN
"You are not going to send this as well?" Fred asks, standing in front of my desk, wearing his usual stoic mask.
"I will give it to him when I see him again." I hum as I fold the letter neatly and push it into the envelope.
I have been writing letters to Liam every single day ever since I got here. I write about my day. How many things went wrong, and how many didn't, and how many wouldn't if he were here. How much I would be in my right mind if I didn't miss him so viscerally as I do. Those always end up in my drawer, sealed and never sent. I tell myself that I will give all of them to him when I see him again.
I pull out Liam's letter. Only one that he had sent me since I left him in Solaryn. I have read it so many times that I have memorized every single curve of each letter as though they have been engraved in my mind.
To Kian,
I am waiting for you.
Your Liam.
