Eunwoo froze, staring at the message from the unknown number.
The blood drained from his face, hands trembling uncontrollably.
At that moment, Jaeahn stepped closer, noticing the fear in his eyes.
"Did something happen? Why are you looking like that?" she asked quietly, sharply.
Eunwoo quickly locked his phone and forced a weak smile.
"N-Nothing happened, big sis…"
His voice cracked, but he turned away before she could question him again.

[Second Trial]
On the way to the prosecutor's office, Jaeahn leaned close and whispered:
"Don't say anything stupid. Just say what I told you to say."
Eunwoo swallowed.
"What exactly do I need to say?"
No response — the scene cuts to the courtroom.

Trial Begins
Eunwoo sat in the witness seat.
His heart pounded violently, still shaken from that message.
His fingers trembled beneath the table.
Jaeahn looked at him from across the courtroom.
"Don't worry. Just say what I told you."
The judge entered.
"I hope today we reach a conclusion for this case."
Jaeahn stepped forward confidently.
"I hope so too, Your Honor.
But first — I must say — this isn't a simple murder case."
The courtroom murmured in confusion.
Judge: "What do you mean?"
Jaeahn:
"Our investigation revealed illegal activities behind this case.
And today, we have a witness."
Judge: "Do you have evidence?"
Jaeahn:
"That's why Eunwoo is here."
All eyes turned to him.
Judge: "Tell us what you know."
Eunwoo took a shaking breath.
"I witnessed something I wasn't supposed to.
They kidnapped my best friend and forced me to take the blame.
But I didn't kill Hyejin.
I saw who killed her… but I couldn't see their face."
Gasps echoed through the courtroom.
"They talked about experiments on human bodies…
and they mentioned Jaeahn, Jongsuk, Do Hwan… and Jihu."
The room froze.
Judge:
"Do you understand the weight of what you're saying?"
Eunwoo:
"Yes. And it's the truth."
Judge:
"Do you know what kind of experiments?"
Jaeahn:
"We're still uncovering the details.
But this proves it wasn't a normal murder."
Judge:
"The second trial ends here.
Further proceedings will continue once evidence is collected."
The gavel struck.

After Trial
Do Hwan and Jongsuk approached Eunwoo immediately.
"Why did you say that?" Do Hwan demanded.
Before he could answer, Jaeahn spoke firmly:
"Because I told him to."
Jongsuk: "Why, Jaeahn?"
"I'll explain when I confirm something.
Just go eat for now."
They left for a meal.
But then—Eunwoo's phone vibrated again.
Another message.
His hands shook violently.
He stood up.
"I… I have something to do. You guys go ahead."
Without waiting for their reply, he walked away.

Bridge scene
The night wind cut cold across his skin as he stood on the edge of the bridge.
Below, the river roared dark and merciless.
Tears streamed down his face.
"If I disappear… they'll be safe…"
he whispered, stepping onto the ledge.
His eyes closed.
He leaned forward—
A hand grabbed his arm and yanked him back.
Eunwoo collapsed onto the ground.
A tall figure stood above him, breath shaking.
"Are you insane?!"
the man's voice broke with anger and panic.
Eunwoo looked up—and froze.
Warm eyes.
Painful expression.
Tears shining in the streetlight.
Jihu.
He knelt and gripped Eunwoo's shoulders tightly.
"Don't throw your life away."
Eunwoo stared at him in disbelief.
"You… saved me…"
Jihu wiped his tears quickly.
"Live. For the people who would die if you don't."
He turned, disappearing into darkness before Eunwoo could ask anything.
Eunwoo whispered to the empty night:
"Who… are you?"

📞 Final Scene — Cliffhanger
Later, Jaeahn entered Do Hwan's room to look for a file.
He was in the bathroom when his phone began to ring.
The caller ID flashed:
Jihu
Her breath stopped.
Hands shaking, she answered.
"Hello…?"
A soft voice spoke:
"Hey, Nippo…
Is Jaeahn okay?"
The phone nearly slipped from her hands.
Her heart shattered.
It was Jihu's voice —
the voice of the brother she believed dead.
Black screen.
Chapter ends.
