Isaac POV
Isaac greeted the representatives of Verdantia with a friendly smile, exchanging a few pleasantries as Althea introduced them. Most of them seemed genuinely interested in meeting him, although he soon noticed that their expressions became noticeably colder whenever they looked toward Jasmine. Some didn't even bother hiding their hostility, which made him wonder what the Seventh Queen had done to earn such treatment.
"Your Majesty, are you really here, or are you still hiding in your room?" one of the men suddenly asked, looking at Jasmine with an condescending smile.
Jasmine glanced at him before replying, "Whatever I'm doing, Devon, it's certainly better than spending all my time whoring around like you."
