[Dragon's Reverse Scale: The Blue-Eyes Baby Dragon shatters its reverse scale and plunges itself into a rage state. Its attack is greatly boosted by 50% to 100%, but it falls into Confusion for three minutes.]
The Ultimate Move effect of [Dragon's Reverse Scale] was overbearing, but it came at the price of reason.
In its rage state, the Blue-Eyes Baby Dragon would attack every opponent in sight, and there was even a chance it would "injure itself."
But in special circumstances, such as being on the verge of falling asleep, using the rage of [Dragon's Reverse Scale] to overwrite the "hypnosis effect" was a workable tactic, if a desperate one.
As a matter of fact, Dark had never tried [Dragon's Reverse Scale]. At first he'd resisted it from the bottom of his heart and had no chance to test it anyway; later, he'd simply forgotten.
Anyway, it sounded awfully unreliable.
But today was the first time he had ever ordered the Blue-Eyes Baby Dragon to use it.
So far, the results were good!
Black seeped from the corners of its eyes and crawled across its cheeks like claw marks, fury building in those blue eyes.
"Roar!"
With a furious roar, the Blue-Eyes Baby Dragon flung its arms wide. A black torrent surged out of the shattered reverse scale and spread along its limbs like spider silk, winding from the inside of its arms down to its claws. Claws already sharp as blades were now coated in a layer of destructive energy!
It was this violently fluctuating energy that gave the Blue-Eyes Baby Dragon an extra 50% to 100% attack, letting it unleash a terrifying 4,500 to 6,000 points of attack.
The Liyuan Colossus was a Magic Guide Spirit that lacked defense to begin with. One swat from the enraged Blue-Eyes Baby Dragon and it let out an instant, piteous howl. It had been slapped to death outright!
"Rawr!"
The Blue-Eyes Baby Dragon stamped a hind foot and pinned its claw onto the body that was rapidly turning to magic power, then threw back its head in a roar that shook the sky!
The young nobles on the circular corridor were cowed by that overwhelming presence, shock stirring in them.
Some of the middle-aged nobles' pupils widened a little and horror crossed their faces. They'd never imagined that this fourth-year versus first-year Magic Guide Duel would already be so fierce in the very first turn!
Never mind the special summon methods of fourth-year Angus Jeffrey. The first-year, Dark, had summoned a stronger second-tier Magic Guide Spirit faster than Angus Jeffrey had!
The Blue-Eyes Baby Dragon on the field looked childlike, but the madness it displayed was already no less than that of an adult Dragon Breed.
Still, a "Berserk"-type Ultimate Move was bound to carry a drawback. How would Dark handle it?
The onlookers murmured in low, startled voices, and the talk didn't stop.
But the situation on the field changed in the blink of an eye.
Angus Jeffrey wasn't panicking the way some had imagined. Instead, he coolly summoned a second Magic Guide Spirit before the first turn ended!
That Magic Guide Spirit appeared silently in the red summoning zone and drew little attention.
Because at that very moment, the onlookers suddenly noticed that the magic power the Liyuan Colossus had turned into upon its death hadn't dispersed. It still held a hazy, complete shape.
The scene was all too familiar, and it set off an alarm in Dark.
But Deathrattle Ultimate Moves of this type were hard to dodge to begin with, and the Blue-Eyes Baby Dragon was now in a Confusion state brought on by its rage.
So when the quiet "tick-tock" of the turn change sounded, that mass of magic power flew at the Blue-Eyes Baby Dragon's face with a ghostly wail and then bored straight into it.
Ultimate Move: Undead Curse!
The Blue-Eyes Baby Dragon's body went rigid, a corpse-like pallor spreading from the inside out.
Layer upon layer of frost formed over its scales, and its limbs slowed to a crawl at a speed visible to the naked eye.
[Battle Phase (2)] [30s]
"Another Deathrattle-type Ultimate Move!"
But Dark only raised an eyebrow slightly, and the corners of his mouth curled up.
This Deathrattle Ultimate Move of the [Liyuan Colossus] had clearly fused Ice-type and Ghost-type. It could inflict a "disease" on the Blue-Eyes Baby Dragon, weakening it overall and freezing its body stiff to slow its movement.
Once movement slowed, no amount of attack power mattered if you couldn't touch your opponent.
But the Blue-Eyes Baby Dragon was already in an uncontrollable Confusion state, so this [Undead Curse] had come at just the right time!
Dark calmly drew two new Magic Guide Cards from the top of his deck.
But the moment the two cards touched his hand, his gaze fell on the red summoning zone, on the Magic Guide Spirit Jeffrey had summoned!
That Magic Guide Spirit had looked utterly unremarkable at first, merely a snowflake drifting through the air.
In fact, its original form really was just a snow crystal.
Yet as time passed, nearly every second a few more layers of ice-crystal shell built up around that snow crystal. After only a few seconds, it had become a snowball of ice crystal bristling with spikes!
Then a gale rose!
The environment of the entire [Liyuan Tundra] was swept up in it.
Under the control of a mysterious power, the cold air turned into cyclones, and the temperature on the field dropped further.
The half of the field that had been taken back by the [Mausoleum of Light] was once again covered in layer upon layer of ice crystal.
Even the people on the circular corridor could feel the bitter cold.
Dark's gaze turned grave.
He realized at once that the [Liyuan Colossus] Jeffrey had first summoned was probably just a pit meant to lure him in, and that this second summon, the "snow crystal," was the real main force!
"Looks like you've seen through it."
Jeffrey's voice came across the amplification device.
As he reached to draw two new Magic Guide Cards, he said to Dark, "My Liyuan Colossus has [Undead Curse]. Even if you beat it, you'd pay the same price. That blue-eyed baby dragon of yours must be the ace you Forged most recently, right? Drawing your ace right at the start, you've got good luck. What a pity..."
As he spoke, the "snow crystal" in the red summoning zone was still growing!
But Dark had already looked away and turned to the two new Magic Guide Cards in his hand.
[Greed III]
[Pride III]
Getting two [Major Sin III] cards seemed to bring the structure of Dark's hand to life all at once.
He could use [Greed III] to evolve [Meowth] into [Persian], or use [Greed III] or [Pride III] to evolve [[Magic Beast (Eevee)]] into [Glaceon] or [Espeon]. Any of them was a fine choice.
And if he used [Greed III] to evolve [[Magic Beast (Eevee)]] into [Glaceon], he could even turn the field effect of [Liyuan Tundra] around and use it to strengthen [Glaceon]'s Ultimate Move, [Blizzard]!
But [Meowth] and [[Magic Beast (Eevee)]] were different. [Meowth] could only evolve through [Greed III].
Once he used [Greed III] on [[Magic Beast (Eevee)]]'s evolution, [Meowth] would lose any chance of evolving.
Dark took a quick look at the [Gatomon] in his hand and gave up on offering [Meowth] and [[Magic Beast (Eevee)]] as tributes to Tribute Summon [Gatomon] right away.
Then he pinched two fingers together, drew out [Greed III], and called out a quiet reminder: "Meowth, it's your turn!"
"Meow!"
Meowth's ever half-closed eyes opened a little wider and a mocking look crossed its face. Then, obeying Dark's order to the letter, it shot forward!
Almost at the same moment, Jeffrey shouted, "Liyuan Ice Sprite, let the ladies and gentlemen here experience a Blizzard on the Liyuan plain!"
"Whooooo—"
The howl of the gale grew louder and louder.
That "snow crystal," the [Liyuan Ice Sprite], had already swollen into a giant ice ball three meters across!
In those nearly ten seconds, it had grown from a palm-sized snowflake into this huge sphere that looked like countless ice thorns tangled and crossed over one another.
The whole [Liyuan Tundra] seemed to have come under its control.
A massive blizzard formed rapidly with it at the center.
Jeffrey crooked a finger again and began summoning the Magic Guide Card he had just drawn.
His gaze swept over the field with the feeling of a man certain of victory.
Two field effects now stood in opposition on the field, but Dark's ace was restrained by the curse. One Magic Guide Spirit with only one star was guarding the Magic Sphere, and the other, a first-tier [Meowth], was dashing from the blue summoning zone toward the red one.
Jeffrey remembered this [Meowth] well. He knew it had a special Ultimate Move that "borrowed force to strike back."
But that was clearly a "counter" aimed at physical attacks, while his [Liyuan Ice Sprite] was a purely spell-type Magic Guide Spirit!
If no force was applied, there was naturally no force to borrow.
[Card Name: Liyuan Ice Sprite]
[Type: Spirit Card]
[Level: ✪✪✪✪]
[Species: Elemental Species]
[Attribute: Ice-type]
[Mana: 3000]
[Attack: 1000]
[Defense: 1000]
[Ultimate Move: Heart of Ice Element, Blizzard, Ice Thorn Spear Array, Freeze Ray]
This Magic Guide Spirit Card with four Ultimate Moves had only four stars, but it was a genuine gold card!
[Heart of Ice Element], a tier above [Elemental Eye], let this [Liyuan Ice Sprite] be summoned in an environment with a high enough concentration of ice elements without any tribute at all, and keep absorbing the surrounding ice elements to grow.
In just ten seconds, [Heart of Ice Element] had sent the [Liyuan Ice Sprite] from 1,000 mana up to its 3,000 cap.
It couldn't break past the 3,000 mana limit. Still, until the field energy of [Liyuan Tundra] was drained dry, it could keep rapidly absorbing ice elements to replenish its mana.
And if he added the Magic Guide Card he was about to summon, [Ice Threshold], the [Liyuan Ice Sprite] would be strengthened even further!
"Meow!"
A sharp meow rang out.
Watching the gray cat charge headlong into the blizzard, Jeffrey sneered inwardly.
But just as the laugh was about to escape him, he noticed an intensely deep blue light streak across his vision and force its way into the [Blizzard] the [Liyuan Ice Sprite] had made.
Then a dazzling white light burst out of the blizzard as it grew ever more savage!
"Meowth, evolve—Persian!"
Dark's clear voice rang out.
Having evolved inside the blizzard, Persian stretched its lengthened limbs, and its thick fur blocked the blizzard rushing at it completely.
[Fur Coat: Persian's thick, smooth fur reduces damage. Damage taken from attacks in battle is halved.]
Shaking itself alert, it ignored the blizzard's assault entirely and padded forward with an elegant stride.
Both were gold cards with four Ultimate Moves, but [Persian] and [Liyuan Ice Sprite] had very different emphases. As for which was stronger...
Jeffrey suddenly realized that the defensive ability of this round-faced big cat was even greater than that of the Blue-Eyes Baby Dragon, who was standing in the same blizzard.
His expression shifted slightly, and the [Ice Threshold] in his hand flared with light!
...
Seeing Jeffrey activate another Magic Guide Card, Dark said lightly, "Is that all?"
He didn't go on to activate [Pride III]. Instead he gave Persian a fresh order: "Stop playing around."
"Meow~"
Persian looked back at him, the blue gem on its forehead glowing faintly, its ω-shaped mouth curling up.
Then it turned its head and abruptly accelerated!
With the blizzard's damage completely unable to pierce [Fur Coat], Persian was unaffected by the wind and snow. In a blink it had run right up to the [Liyuan Ice Sprite].
This was Jeffrey's first time seeing [Meowth]'s evolved form, and he had no idea what the Ultimate Moves of this round-faced big cat were.
All he could do was trust his own Magic Guide Spirit: "Liyuan Ice Sprite, Ice Threshold, Freeze Ray, Absolute Freeze!"
In an instant, a blinding blue light burst from the face of the [Ice Threshold] card in his hand.
That icy blue beam shot down from above and poured straight into the [Liyuan Ice Sprite]'s body.
The huge three-meter ice ball was dyed entirely blue, and an extremely cold fluid flowed inside it.
The surrounding [Blizzard] stopped dead. Driven by the ice energy that [Ice Threshold] had poured into it, the [Liyuan Ice Sprite] unleashed [Freeze Ray], one of its four Ultimate Moves.
This Ultimate Move, which could freeze opponents into ice, had been strengthened by [Ice Threshold], and its power had risen sharply. Even a third-tier Magic Guide Spirit could be frozen solid in an instant!
Jeffrey had once used this very combination to freeze a troublesome dungeon boss into a block of ice.
He had originally planned to wait until Dark summoned a stronger Magic Guide Spirit before using this move.
But the "defensive ability" Persian had shown made him wary of this Magic Guide Spirit he'd never seen before.
"Whatever special Ultimate Moves you have, you can't use them once you're frozen into a block of ice!"
Jeffrey thought to himself. His gaze lifted slightly, skipped right over Persian, and landed on the Magic Sphere in the blue summoning zone. Once Persian was a block of ice, the equally strengthened [Ice Thorn Spear Array] would fall from the sky and completely shatter the blue Magic Sphere's Life Barrier!
"Persian, [[Protect]]."
But Dark's voice, still as calm as ever, reached his ears and drew Jeffrey's gaze back down.
Then, to his utter astonishment, he saw that the strengthened [Freeze Ray], which could freeze even a third-tier Magic Guide Spirit solid, had been blocked completely by a thin wall of light!
Persian held its head high and its chest out, unafraid, propping up the wall of light and letting [Freeze Ray] beat against it without budging an inch.
The blue light of [Freeze Ray] splashed in every direction like a rushing torrent, layering ice upon ice across the ground.
But even after its energy ran out, it hadn't frozen a single whisker on Persian.
"That's impossible!"
Disbelief spread across Jeffrey's face. His fingers tightened around the [Ice Threshold] Magic Guide Card, and then he roared, "Use [Ice Thorn Spear Array] on the blue summoning zone!"
"Taunt!"
Dark's eyes sharpened as he issued another command.
Persian leapt up in a sudden bound and planted one foot on top of the [Liyuan Ice Sprite].
Sharp ice thorns shot out of the [Liyuan Ice Sprite]'s body, but halved by [Fur Coat], they had no hope of breaking through Persian's defense.
The moment all four paws touched down, Persian used its Ultimate Move, [Taunt]!
[Taunt: Provokes the opponent into a rage. For thirty seconds, the opponent can only use Ultimate Moves that deal damage, and will attack only Persian.]
Once taunted, the [Liyuan Ice Sprite] no longer heard Jeffrey's orders. Its whole body bristled with spikes as it stabbed madly at Persian.
But Persian let out a yawn, watching the [Liyuan Ice Sprite] drowsily as it scraped away with all its might, and the force behind its own paws didn't weaken in the least.
With the [Liyuan Ice Sprite]'s defense of a mere 1,000 against Persian's attack of 2,200, even an ordinary basic attack would be hard to withstand.
The [Liyuan Ice Sprite]'s ice thorns were smashed to pieces, only to quickly re-form under the effect of [Heart of Ice Element].
Its mana swung down and up like a roller coaster.
...
"Tick-tock!"
...
The second turn passed in the blink of an eye.
The familiar sound of the turn change reminded Jeffrey that this was no time to be dazed. He drew a sharp breath and reached for his deck.
Dark, with the situation now stable, immediately drew two new Magic Guide Cards.
[Pride I]
[Honedge (Weapon Form)]
"The equation for victory has been successfully written!"
Dark raised his head and said to Jeffrey, "Senior, if this is all you've got, it's hard to get excited."
His voice rang out clearly with the help of the amplification device.
Though his tone was flat, it carried an arrogance that seemed perfectly natural.
Some of the nobles who had known a little about the Son of the Valkyrie before could not help looking stunned.
The handsome blond, blue-eyed boy looked like he'd stepped out of a textbook as the model noble. His bearing was elegant and composed, and the arrogance in his bones was just the same.
Nobles, the middle-aged and older ones especially, didn't reject "noble arrogance." They greatly admired it.
Of course, the "noble arrogance" they had in mind was the arrogance of the strong, not the bluster of the weak.
In the past, when they'd heard of the Son of the Valkyrie's willful antics, they had assumed he was the latter.
But now they saw plainly that he was the former!
Rumor always falls short of seeing for yourself.
Had they not seen it with their own eyes, not many would believe it just from hearing that the Son of the Valkyrie had become a completely different person.
And as more people saw it, witnessed it, and confirmed it, all the past things associated with him would instead be written off as "prejudice."
"It must have been jealousy, right?"
Those who had only heard of him and never met him would even start to doubt the people who had spread such talk.
Dark's performance in these two short turns was enough to make people think that way.
...
Faced with Dark's arrogance and "contempt," the emotions Angus Jeffrey had been suppressing in his chest gradually began to surge.
He straightened his Magic Guide Cards, took a sharp breath, and smiled. "What's the rush? It's only just begun!"
...
In an instant, both sides launched into the third turn.
"Persian, attack the Magic Sphere!"
Dark picked up [Pride I] and gave the order.
Persian had suppressed the [Liyuan Ice Sprite], but its defense-minded Ultimate Move setup wasn't enough to smash a [Liyuan Ice Sprite] with [Heart of Ice Element] in one blow.
Dark decisively changed course and had it attack the Magic Sphere to tie down Jeffrey's footsteps.
Hearing the order, Persian kicked off with all four legs and pounced decisively at the red Magic Sphere.
The [Liyuan Ice Sprite] was still under [Taunt]'s control, and it chased right after Persian in a flying dash.
But a three-second summoning time was fast enough.
Just as Persian was about to touch the red Magic Sphere, Jeffrey's summoning was complete.
He had decisively chosen to summon right where the red Magic Sphere hovered, and a huge summoning circle lit up in an instant.
Dark narrowed his eyes slightly. He hadn't stopped casting even while watching, and the [Pride I] in his hand was successfully activated.
Then a dark-gold orb of light burst out of the face of [Pride I] and shot at high speed toward the Blue-Eyes Baby Dragon, still bound by [Undead Curse].
...
Persian's change of target.
Jeffrey's summoning.
The injection of [Pride I].
Three events happening almost at once carried an enormous amount of information.
The onlookers couldn't even tell where to look.
Let alone the two duelists in the middle of it.
Jeffrey had no time for anything else. The moment the summon was complete, he poured magic power into his fingertip and pointed sharply at the red Magic Sphere below.
Remotely controlled by his magic power, the red Magic Sphere gave a slight shake and tried to hop away.
But Persian's claws were already swiping. Three very distinct claw marks appeared on the red Magic Sphere's Life Barrier, and the impact of that swipe knocked the sphere itself outward.
[8000→5666]
So far in the duel, the red Magic Sphere had been the first to take damage.
But Jeffrey reacted fast enough, steering the Magic Sphere high up into the air.
Persian was agile and had astonishing leaping power, but it still had no wings and couldn't chase the Magic Sphere any further.
Only then did the third Magic Guide Spirit Jeffrey had summoned step out of the summoning circle.
But this summon wasn't a tier-skipping Special Summon. What appeared in the circle was only a first-tier Magic Guide Spirit: a round-headed, round-bodied white bear!
Bears, a naturally powerful race among the Animal species, were often seen in duel competitions.
But the white bear Jeffrey had summoned was only half a person tall and stood upright like a plush toy, which made Diana's eyes light up as she watched from outside the field.
Jeffrey had summoned it below the Magic Sphere purely as a precaution.
But now that the red Magic Sphere had escaped danger, the white bear's help was no longer needed.
So he promptly ordered, "Sode no Shirokuma, Snow Cloak."
Pure white snowflakes immediately began to fall around the [Sode no Shirokuma].
The snow-white [[Little Bear]] spread its arms, its whole body suddenly turned transparent, and it quickly vanished into the falling snow.
As its figure disappeared entirely, the snowflakes fell to the ground and left a patch of wet marks.
It was unmistakably an invisibility-type Magic Guide Spirit!
Lower-year students generally lacked any permanent means of breaking invisibility.
Dark did have one [Revealing Powder] in his deck, but drawing it right away was not easy.
...
Before the [Sode no Shirokuma] had gone invisible, the orb of light from [Pride I] had already been poured into the Blue-Eyes Baby Dragon's mind.
Merely by watching its expression, Dark noticed that its face showed a flicker of struggle.
"Just as expected."
Dark was confident and immediately called out, "Blue-Eyes Baby Dragon, Dragon Egg Conversion!"
A single moment of clarity was enough.
The Blue-Eyes Baby Dragon woke from its Confusion state for an instant and, almost by instinct, triggered the Ultimate Move [Dragon Egg Conversion].
It was the stress reaction that species with this kind of "nirvana" skill typically show when facing mortal danger.
The energy fluctuations around its body quickly drew inward once [Dragon Egg Conversion] activated, and its whole form shrank rapidly in the light. In the blink of an eye, it had turned back into the egg it had been when it first appeared!
[Dragon Egg Conversion] had a long cooldown and couldn't be used again in a short time.
When the light faded, a huge egg about one and a half meters tall stood in plain view of everyone.
Dark immediately picked out [Pride III] and silently counted down the cooldown.
In just three seconds, he began casting a Normal Summon to activate this [Pride III]!
But the target wasn't [[Magic Beast (Eevee)]], which could have evolved with [Pride III]. It was the [Primordial Dragon Egg]!
Once turned into a dragon egg, all of the Blue-Eyes Baby Dragon's abnormal statuses and accumulated damage vanished entirely, as if it had returned to the state of its birth.
And pouring in [Pride III] stained it with the original sin of Pride!
The Blue-Eyes Baby Dragon's rebirth was now unstoppable!
...
The duel raged on.
The sight of the Blue-Eyes Baby Dragon turning back into a dragon egg was shocking enough.
Combined with the fact that it had first appeared by "hatching," it was easy to guess it was about to be revived in full condition.
Jeffrey had clearly noticed this, and a growing sense of urgency stirred in him.
Once the winged, flying Blue-Eyes Baby Dragon was reborn, he'd find it hard to steer his Magic Sphere out of its way.
He had to finish his summon before then, or before it could act after its rebirth!
Jeffrey looked at the Magic Guide Cards in his hand, his expression grave.
The [Sode no Shirokuma] had successfully hidden itself with its Ultimate Move [Snow Cloak].
The [Liyuan Ice Sprite], though taunted, could still hold out for a short while.
"I have one three-star Magic Guide Spirit and one four-star one. The seven stars of tribute are gathered!"
The instant the three-second cooldown on Normal Summons ended, Jeffrey began casting a Tribute Summon!
The limit summoning time for a Tribute Summon was also three seconds.
But even Jeffrey couldn't compress it down to that three-second limit.
Normally, though, a difference of a few seconds wouldn't have a fatal effect on the situation.
Jeffrey's magic power erupted as he staked his fate on that final Magic Guide Spirit.
The randomness of Magic Guide Duels affected who won and lost.
Jeffrey wasn't without stronger Magic Guide Spirits, but in his current hand, that seven-star Magic Guide Spirit Card was the strongest he had!
"Victory or defeat hinges on this one..."
Just as he was trying to steady his resolve, he suddenly noticed that Persian's [Taunt] effect had ended and the [Liyuan Ice Sprite] was free again.
And once not taunted, the [Liyuan Ice Sprite], backed by [Ice Threshold], could summon an [Ice Thorn Spear Array] covering half the field and deal a devastating blow to Dark's Magic Sphere.
Even if it couldn't smash it outright, it could scrape off a layer of skin!
Jeffrey's mind raced, and he decisively broke off the Tribute Summon and shouted, "Ice thorns, form ranks, fire spears! Target: the blue half of the field!"
"Shhhhh—"
The [Liyuan Ice Sprite] let out an insect-like chirp and shot upward while spinning its body.
Persian stamped a foot and squinted as it scanned its surroundings.
The huge dragon egg, having absorbed the radiance of [Pride III], suddenly cracked open.
A "Blue-Eyes Baby Dragon" with dark-gold stripes across its body tore open the eggshell and flew out on beating wings!
"Sin Blue-Eyes Baby Dragon, release your power and let the world be cleansed!"
Dark gave the order to the successfully hatched [Sin Blue-Eyes Baby Dragon].
"Roar!"
A dragon's cry, even prouder and more savage than the [Blue-Eyes Baby Dragon]'s, suddenly rang out.
Without hesitation, the [Sin Blue-Eyes Baby Dragon] unfolded [World of Sin].
It was now in the red zone, with the icy ground produced by [Liyuan Tundra] beneath its feet.
The [Liyuan Ice Sprite] floating in the air was still frantically drawing ice-type energy from [Liyuan Tundra].
But none of that stopped [World of Sin] from unfolding.
Dark-gold radiance burst from the Pride crest on the inner side of its dragon wings and lit up [Liyuan Tundra] within moments.
Drained of too much ice-type energy, [Liyuan Tundra] could no longer resist the erosion of [World of Sin].
The ice on the ground melted into water.
The chill vanished in a blink.
The temperature began to climb back.
The entire half of the field was bathed in the radiance of [World of Sin].
Seen from above, the duel field was now half [Mausoleum of Light] and half [World of Sin], light and dark, good and evil, shining against each other.
And in the sky, cold-air vortices appeared one after another, multiplying rapidly until they filled it.
Ice spears poking out of the vortices glittered with cold light at their tips, their menace overwhelming.
The [Liyuan Ice Sprite] spun at high speed, forming a small storm to protect itself.
Only the third turn, and the duel field already looked as if heaven and earth had been remade.
"Ice Thorn Spear Array!"
Jeffrey suddenly roared.
Every eye in the place was fixed on him.
Dark's pupils contracted, but he stayed perfectly calm. He crooked a finger and tapped, the magic power gathering into a line that remotely steered the blue Magic Sphere into a sudden flight toward the red half.
Eevee-chan, who had been guarding the blue Magic Sphere, pumped her stubby little legs with all her might and ran toward the red half too.
Persian came racing over like a gale to cover her.
The [Sin Blue-Eyes Baby Dragon] hovering in midair abruptly took aim at the [Liyuan Ice Sprite], which was casting with everything it had.
A countless number of ice spears adjusted their aim slightly and shot down like a rainstorm!
