Chapter 18 - The Beginning of Transformation

The air was charged with an eerie energy, as if the world itself had realized that something that should not exist had been born. Rain stood there, but he was no longer the same. He had become something else… something closer to a catastrophe walking on two legs.

"You are not the Rain I once knew..."

The man in the dark cloak had not feared Rain moments ago, but now, hesitation crept into his stance. Something inside him recognized that his opponent was no longer just human—nor even a mere monster.

Rain slowly raised his hand, and the very fabric of space began to twist around him. This was not just energy; it was something deeper—something akin to reshaping reality itself.

"The difference between us..." Rain's voice was not just a voice—it was an echo that stretched across worlds. "Is that you accepted the rules that govern this world."

The man turned to him cautiously, but before he could respond—Rain moved.

There was no warning. No trace of motion.

He had simply vanished.

In a fraction of a second, Rain reappeared behind the man, his hand extended, fingers brushing the air where his opponent had stood just moments before.

"Impossible..." the man muttered, his eyes filled with disbelief.

"Did you think you were the only one who understood time?"

Rain's eyes glowed, and behind him, the Black Butterfly took on a new form—a shadow stretching into infinity.

"You are no longer just a wielder of a spirit insect," the man said, this time with something in his voice that had not been there before—genuine concern. "You have become something else… something that should not exist."

Rain did not deny it.

"My existence itself is a violation of all laws," he said in a calm yet devastating tone. "And I don't mind that."

Rain raised his hand, and in an instant, the world around them froze. This was not merely stopping time—it was as if everything had been erased except for him and his opponent.

"This is not a mere ability," the man said, trying to maintain his composure, but he knew he was no longer facing an ordinary being.

"No, it is not an ability." Rain smiled, but it was not a human smile. "This is my absolute will."

At that moment, the space around them began to collapse. The stars in the sky shifted, as if no longer bound by the path the universe had set for them.

"You are playing with fire, Rain Erthon."

Rain did not respond. He simply turned his head slowly, as if words no longer mattered.

Then, with a single movement—

He erased everything.

The man did not understand what had happened.

Moments ago, they had stood amidst ruins, but now…

They were somewhere else entirely.

A sky of endless black. A ground that did not exist. Nothing but an infinite abyss of darkness.

"Where are we?" the man asked, and for the first time, his voice carried genuine fear.

"In my place," Rain replied simply.

"Your place?"

"The world could no longer contain me." Rain turned to him, his eyes glowing like never before. "So, I created my own."

The man realized that this was no longer a battle he could win. Not when his opponent had transcended all known limits.

But he was not ready to give up just yet.

"Even if you created your own world..." he said firmly. "That does not mean you can break everything."

"Oh?" Rain raised an eyebrow. "Then try."

There were no more words.

Only an explosion of indescribable energy.

The darkness itself was torn apart, and space trembled, as if they had entered a battle that surpassed even the concept of power itself.

But in the end, one thing was clear.

This was no longer a war between humans.

It had become a war between concepts themselves.
