Chapter 29 - Chapter 10

Hikari had been sitting out on the cliff side, one that had been facing the direction of the capital. So she was the first person the messenger would run into. Though running here was literally.

The messenger was coming in hot. Soaring through the sky and heading right for her. Thankfully she has excellent reflexes as the moment she saw the tilt in the woman's flight pattern, Hikari was already flipping back on her palms.

The cliff side was demolished.

"Is that how you greet people, doggie?" Hikari snarks, her slender/lean legs whipping back as she flips to evade the assault.

The shattered cliff side sent rocks flying in the direction of the squadron's bright fighter. One of the pebbles hit a sore spot leading her to collapse.

"F*uck" she mutters to herself while falling face first in the dirt. Putting her immediately on the back foot right away.

"The only dog here is you, when the King lets us put you down!" The muscular woman roars while flying towards Hikari.

She flies at a low angle, fist cocked, and then approaches at high speed. Her fist collided with Hikari's left shoulder.

The pale fighter felt her shoulder dislocate as she got flipped to the side.

The woman shot passed her after the strike. Turning around and bearing down only to find Hikari missing for a second. Then her gaze shot upwards.

A leg came crashing down on her shoulder with enough speed and accuracy to shatter bone at its weakest point.

Crack

The ground beneath the muscle bound woman cracked. The heel of Hikari's boot landed sharply yet she did not get the outcome she hoped for.

Her left foot moved back as she twisted her body. Creating enough moments to slam a second heel into the side of the woman's head. Hikari's follow up was just too late.

The woman caught Hikari's ankle. Lifting her up with ease. Noticing how the pale fighter's expression was rife with pain, how she held her shoulder desperately now, face sweating and how no words escaped her lips now.

"Hahaha, look at you..i could-" she starts only to be interrupted by a blinding light.

Hikari had been desperately building heat in her right arm. The flames only existed in a tight spot in her hand before she opened it up and shot for a searing bright light.

The flash of light came, burned, and was gone in just a short few seconds. The sound it made was an imperceptible crackle and then muffled cascade of hot air in a cone shaped forward.

"Gaaaaaah...what the..you!" The woman dropped Hikari and reacted in agony while trying to cover her eyes. She felt like pulling them out, but her own eyelids fought her like trying to run away from a pain that would not subside.

Without insulting the woman caught in her trap, despite wanting dearly, Hikari felt a certain urge to look for a certain device. The hesitation to counter attack would cost her.

After snapping her attention back to her target, still writhing in pain, she made the decision to attack. ("Break her neck") She thought while still gripping her dislocated shoulder. The thought of fixing it didn't cross her mind.

The best attack she could come up with was a spinning kick, regardless it would hurt like hell to move her body like that. The pain dulled her momentum as she twisted her body and the seconds hesitation to torque her core did as well.

Even so the whip of her leg could still shatter your average red wood tree. The throat of her boat aimed to snap the woman's thick neck in her blinded state.

The resounding smack sent a gust of wind shooting past her target. The muscle bounce women had reacted in time. Raising her guard to block incoming high attacks.

"Think i needed to see to kick your a*s" she says while shooting her fist forward in a quick jab. The unused arm, as it collides with Hikari's face.

Hikari barely had a moment to accept the recoil. No time to conjure flames to react. A flash now would do him no good. Her head snapped back and blood gushed from her nose that now pointed the wrong way.

Still her eyes held real resolve in them; anger that kept her moving.

The woman's follow was a jab that missed and then a few more. She had hit this lucky strike, that's all it took to shift the fight in her favor.

Hikari plummeted to the floor after her hail-Mary Kick. All she could do was shift to fall on her right shoulder against the hard ground.

"Ga-" she stifled a painful gasp.

The mountainous area that served as the flame Squadron's purchased land wasn't quiet. The muscle bound woman had enough experience to listen closer when she couldn't see.

All Hiakri saw was the woman's big boot coming crashing down on her sternum before things went dark. Because she kicked me in the head right after that.

Ringu knew that his peers had their own ways of spending their quiet moments. He, a quiet person, liked the calmness of a still room, and she understood that those training freaks loved stuffy congested places. So to him, he wondered ("why does a loud bright woman like.. soothing baths and calm windy mountains")

He saw the flash of light and then a woman flying off from one section of the several mountains that lead to their base. What he saw horrified him.

The pale and cheery facade was bloodied and broken. He flew to her side with all the force of a sun at his feet. The man mirrored Jetto for a brief second as he was bare foot due to the uncontrolled combustion.

As he saw her chest rising weekly and blood dripping out her mouth, relief was not the feeling that washed over him. It was dreadful, but he lifted her up anyway.

"Hiiiii" he began to drawl bed his breath hitched. No response just gurgles.

He blasted off from the spot and towards their base. Ringu couldn't help but think a Scouter would have been good to have at this moment. A thought he hadn't had on their home planet in a very long time.

Kappa was called to their medical ward right away. A room filled with outdated technology. No healing chambers in sight.

He was second to arrive after Jetto. The woman was always in a race; especially in emergencies.

"Explain now!" He demands.

"It was those dam court fighters...!" Jetto spit out, with a pause. "Why her.. she's"

"Hiii" Ringu's drawl shook as he knelt before the bed.

"Condition isn't stablizing..she needs urgent care..a healing chamber soon" the green raptor type alien hesitantly warned the room.

The bed Hikari was laying on was steeped in blood already. Drips of it had lined the floor and all down Ringu's leg.

"What happened!?" Karada shows up finally.

"You're late!" Jetto rushes over and smacks the back of his head, hoping to reach it.

He brushes it off, only reading the tense room and not retorting.

"So what do we do, boss"

"We..have..to bring Hikari to the capital. Make them pay for her injuries" Ringu stands, his drawl oddly missing, replaced with a hesitant fury. Standing to turn and make a demand.

Kappa met his gaze, the others gazing up at their leader for an inevitable rejection. A perfect or horribly timed gurgle of blood from Hikari catches everyone's attention.

They waited for rejection.

"Alright. Let's go now. Bring, the three of you can Carry her safely." Kappa points to Hikari. "Her life depends on how gentle you are now"

Just then as they scrambled to find the right way for three people to carry the injuried woman, a young girl popped her head in. Now Hikari might be the least to influence Zukki, but when the girl saw her in a bloodied mess, it horrified her.

"What happened!?" She asks immediately.

"The royals! They did this!" Jetto informs the child with rage in her voice.

Kappa grimaced, unable to stop Jetto from revealing too much or come up with his own cover story. They were heading into the Lions den and he did not want her there.

"Father..where are you going?" She asks next.

"To see the King" he responds truthfully now.

"The king did this?"

"We... don't have time..we need to go now!" Ringu demands and no one could object. The trio flew out of the room carrying Hikari.

Using controlled and regulated flames to accomplish propulsion in balance form. Keeping her horizontal with Ringu at her head and shoulders.

Kappa couldn't disagree, but as he looked at his daughter, he realized he couldn't leave her there. As much as he respected and adored his wife, she was in no place to keep Zukki safe. She was safer by his side.

"You need to come with me" he responds finally. Kappa lifted her into his arms.

None of them had been wearing the armor, just varying sizes and fits of that common black body suit. Approaching the Kings castle, Vegeta city where the royalty and elite class warriors reside.

In his throne room The King and Prince wait for the guests they summoned.
