Violet Zimmerman raised her hand and pushed Joseph Lancaster, "Joseph Lancaster, what do you mean? Are you saying I'm old?"
"I'm not," Joseph Lancaster said helplessly, but Violet Zimmerman wouldn't let it go, pushing his chest again and again, forcing him backward.
"How can you say you're not? You clearly are! Joseph Lancaster, do you think I'm too old for you now, and you're disgusted by me?"
"No, Violet, how could I be disgusted by you?" Joseph Lancaster, pushed to the edge of the sofa by Violet Zimmerman, had nowhere to hide. He had to grab Violet Zimmerman's hand and was just about to use his other arm to embrace her when Mrs. Xu's voice came over.
"Madam, Second Master, it's time to eat!"
Violet Zimmerman panicked, quickly withdrawing her wrist, and Joseph Lancaster, cooperating, let go, glancing toward the dining table nonchalantly.
