Evander Lancaster leaned back on the sofa, putting his hands in the pockets of his casual pants. When he saw "Second Uncle" Joseph Lancaster walk through the door, he instinctively glanced behind him, not seeing his mother. His lips curled into a faint sneer.
"Where's mom? Why didn't she come back with you?"
Joseph Lancaster didn't answer his question. He walked inside, tossed the car keys onto the coffee table, and sat down on the sofa. The two men, who looked almost identical, appeared as clones of each other when not smiling.
"Your mom is working at the company. Why would she come back with me?" Joseph Lancaster said as he sat down on the sofa.
It was clear that Joseph Lancaster seemed to be in a bad mood, yet Evander Lancaster continued with a smirk, "That's not logical, Uncle. I remember ever since Dad passed away, wherever you and Mom went, you were inseparable. Why are you alone today?"
