After hanging up the phone, Violet Zimmerman called Joseph Lancaster as well. Joseph was busy with work, and when he heard the phone ring, he casually picked it up and put it to his ear, "Hello, may I ask..."
"Joseph, it's me." Violet hesitantly started, having just gotten off the phone with Daxton. But speaking with her little uncle felt different.
Hearing Violet's voice, Joseph put down his work, leaned back in his office chair and smiled, "Violet, what made you think of calling me? Where's Robert, asleep and leaving you bored?"
Joseph's gentle voice resonated in her ears, and Violet shyly pursed her lips.
"Why aren't you talking?" Not hearing Violet speak, Joseph asked curiously, then immediately smirked as he said, "I get it, you haven't seen me these days, you miss hearing my voice, don't you, Violet?"
"Definitely not!" Almost as soon as Joseph finished, Violet denied it, her anxious tone mixed with bashful anger.
