Mabel Quinn and Auntie Wu were already beside themselves with anxiety. When Mabel finally arrived on the scene, the police arrived shortly afterward. After searching the scene, they still couldn't find the little one. So, they returned to the police station with the officers to start a statement, while the police gathered surveillance footage from the area for clues.
Auntie Wu was in tears and kept apologizing to Mabel, "Miss Quinn, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, it's my carelessness that lost Ivy. If Ivy isn't found, I'll be guilty for life!"
Mabel knew that blaming Auntie Wu now wouldn't help. Besides, according to Auntie Wu, she checked on Ivy every few oranges she picked, which was barely a minute or so. If Ivy had run off herself, a five-year-old girl couldn't have gone far. How could Auntie Wu not find her unless Ivy purposely hid or... something else happened?
