The students of Internal Medicine Class Two flocked to the playground; this was their physical education class. However, their internal medicine teacher Ding Sidan had held them for an extra twenty minutes, which caused them to arrive at the playground late.
Rather than calling it a physical education class, it's more like an exercise subject, since medical school students generally have poor physical fitness. Following the arrangement by the physical education teacher, their class was tasked with basketball, requiring them to freely train. This was meant to add some fun to the course.
The students in Class Two were divided into two groups, with each group selecting 12 players. Five from each group would play on the court, and the rest sat on the lawn as substitutes, while the remaining students acted as spectators.
