The Black Wolf Lord can be subdued through the authority of a Wolf Leader, but ordinary packs need the Nest Lord's inherent ability to reproduce.
In a black wolf pack, the male wolf is the core of the Nest Lord; it guides mana to form such shadow creatures as the black wolf. Now, Brando inherited the title of Wolf Leader, hence he can naturally use the Aisis' Heart of Calamity on his forehead to perform this ability.
