After entering the underground from a damaged corner of the ruins, what unfolded before Brand was a vast underground world. Long, narrow corridors connected a series of supply warehouses, hidden soldier caverns, and defense fortresses, suggesting that this part of the underground city was the surface section's defense line. He had seen similar lines of defense in the Cruz people's Lawent Mountain Fortress and the Elf Underground Ruins, but none were as complete as this one.
The corridors were built with the hardest stones forming the walls, with fine lattice patterns extending deep underground. This architectural style was completely at odds with the aesthetic views of several eras in Vorn, as if it were a relic of a prehistoric civilization slumbering for countless ages, bringing a certain familiar feeling to Brand.
