A pale green beam of light appeared out of thin air in the palm of his outstretched hand, piercing the Dome of the Lockshebi Palace, one end centered on Char's palm, the other connecting to the cloud-covered sky—
The next instant.
The flow of time slowed, space rapidly contracted and gathered at the center of his palm until a singularity formed; in an instant, a brilliant, searing white light exploded from that point, and the entire space seemed to undergo a strange expansion…
Then came a massive shockwave.
Everyone not caught by the flames instinctively looked up. The upper half of the Ande Fulei Grand Temple seemed to be blown apart by the shockwave. Stones, wood, tiles, glass, and crystals disintegrated in all directions, then exploded outright.
