Richard Shaw carried her to the bed, looking at the drizzling spring rain outside. He got into bed and held her in his arms, saying in a deep voice, "Sleep a little longer."
Seeing that the man did not bring up the scandal involving Luna, Crystal Landon was a bit surprised and slowly closed her eyes to catch up on some sleep.
Richard Shaw watched her curl up like a little animal against his chest, behaving unusually obediently. He gently touched her long hair, his gaze slightly deeper. Only after she fell asleep did he get up and return to the Military District.
Shuan drove over to pick him up. Noticing the Major General's gloomy expression, neither happy nor angry, he dared not say much and focused on driving. As they approached the gates of the Military District, Shuan spotted a familiar figure huddled under a tree and suddenly exclaimed.
Richard Shaw, immersed in his thoughts, followed Shuan's gaze, frowned, and said, "Go check it out."
