After Richard Shaw left the hospital, Leah woke up soon after. Her slumber wasn't actually that deep; she was pretending to sleep. Firstly, she didn't want to put on a fake act or have too much intimacy with Richard Shaw, and secondly, she wanted to appear weak to lull his vigilance.
Over the past two days, she had thought it through clearly. Becoming strangers was indeed more suitable than coming together again. Maybe she liked the current Richard Shaw after losing her memory, but the old wounds were still there, and there was the injustice against her parents. Leaving was the best choice; she didn't retaliate because revenge had reached its limit.
No matter what, she always remembered that it was the old lady who took care of her as she grew up. Though Griffith Squire dismissed this, claiming that if it weren't for the Shaw Family's interference, he might have taken her to care for her much earlier.
