After An Yin came out of the milk tea shop at the school gate, she remembered the old man she met earlier while dining at "Ying Ying Yi Shui Jian". He had given her some pastries for no reason, and at that time, she had kept his phone number.
An Yin recalled the old man's words. He said he was lonely and without family, so she thought he must be a solitary elder.
She didn't want to owe him a favor.
So she took out her phone, hesitated for a moment, and then made a call.
After two rings, the call was connected.
The two exchanged a few polite words; it was clear the old man didn't recognize her voice until An Yin described their encounter at "Ying Ying Yi Shui Jian", which enlightened him.
"So it was you!" The old man exclaimed happily.
Afterwards, An Yin explained the purpose of her call. To thank the old man for the pastries he had given her, she planned to buy something and visit him in return.
