On the second day, Gongsun Chang came alone to the Dragon Country's ship. After greeting Zhang Yan, he apologized, saying, "It is truly unfortunate that upon returning to the city, my esteemed master happened to enter seclusion. Thus it is inconvenient for him to come personally, and I must represent him instead. Please forgive this, but all the items True Master requires have been brought."
He flicked his sleeve, releasing a milky white mist which supported several dozen jade boxes, each half a foot square, neatly arranged in the cabin. Then, he took out a tied book from his sleeve, holding it out with one hand, "Because the number of extraordinary treasures is indeed quite large, I drafted a list for True Master to check."
Zhang Yan immediately accepted it, pointing his finger to untie the red silk knot, slowly opening the list, his gaze wandering over it. After a long while, he glanced at Gongsun Chang, nodding, "Daoist Gongsun, you are thoughtful."
