Holding little Anan, Amelia Linton noticed Ryan Taylor's intent, but she didn't plan to let him hold the baby; she wasn't comfortable letting a man with no experience hold her grandson.
"Anan! Let's thank Uncle for the gift." Amelia Linton held little Anan's hand and made a thank-you gesture toward Ryan Taylor.
Ryan Taylor bent down towards little Anan, gently touching the baby's cheek with his hand. "No need to thank me."
Such a tiny baby, he looked truly adorable.
"Ryan! Don't you have any thoughts seeing little Anan?" Harriet White, sitting next to Amelia Linton, seized the opportunity to subtly suggest as she saw Ryan Taylor curiously watching little Anan.
Upon hearing his mom ask the question, the smile on Ryan Taylor's face froze momentarily, but he quickly returned to normal. He tilted his head toward his mom, "Of course I have thoughts; I want to take little Anan home with us."
He knew that wasn't his mom's intention, but he intentionally twisted her words.
