Easton Holmes paused for a moment, then returned to his normal state. He stepped towards Benjamin Shaw and sat down in the empty seat next to him.
They had agreed to talk, but once Easton sat down next to him, Benjamin fell into silence and didn't utter a word for a long time.
"Are you feeling particularly sad now? Especially regretful?" After a long silence, Easton couldn't hold it any longer and broke the quiet atmosphere.
Upon hearing Easton speak to him, Benjamin slowly turned his head towards the source of the voice. He stared at Easton for a long while before slowly nodding, "Yes! I feel really sad right now, especially regretful. I regret not treating her well back then."
"My mom was right. I would regret it, and now I truly regret it. I regret not cherishing her at that time, even more regretting agreeing to divorce her." Towards the end, Benjamin's eyes reddened. He forcefully closed his eyes to push back the tears that were welling up.
