After dinner, Thomas Fisher and Alice Turner went straight back to the hotel.
Once they were back, he wanted to go sit in her room for a while, but she politely turned him down.
"Sit for a while"—as if she believed he really just wanted to sit.
"Go sit in your own room, I'm going to find Jacob and pour my heart out." Alice Turner pulled Thomas Fisher over to the door of the room opposite hers, patted his arm, then headed toward Anthony's room.
Watching her figure move away from him, Thomas Fisher helplessly curled his lips, but he didn't go after her, nor did he say anything to stop her from going to someone else.
He stood at the door of his own room, silently watching her, watching her knock on someone else's door, watching her walk into someone else's room.
"Go back and get some rest."
Alice Turner knew the whole time that Thomas Fisher was staring at her. The moment she stepped inside, she turned back and waved at him, urging him to hurry up and go to his room to rest.
