Upon hearing Benjamin Shaw's skeptical voice, Alice Turner immediately felt a sinking sensation because the bathroom was in the opposite direction from where she was heading.
In a moment of urgency, a flash of inspiration hit her, and she raised her hand to point downstairs. "The bathroom upstairs was too crowded earlier, so in a rush, I ran to the one downstairs."
After speaking, she glanced at the man blocking her path and maneuvered around him towards the private room.
Since the person had already hidden, it was impossible for her to find him in a short time, especially when this man decided to meddle. She had no choice but to abandon the idea of searching.
Under Benjamin Shaw's probing gaze, Alice Turner pushed the door open and entered the private room. Upon seeing her come in, Anthony immediately asked her silently, "How did it go? Did you deal with that person?"
"No."
Unperturbed, Alice Turner shook her head at Anthony; her face clearly conveyed two words: failure.
