Zhi'er turned around to look back.
She saw the palace door half-open, and dim yellow light spilling out from inside.
Xie Yu was sitting by the table, just in the right spot to see him through the door's gap.
Zhi'er was taken aback.
"What are you doing here?"
She lifted the curtain and entered, discovering that Xie Yu was the only person in the entire palace.
Xie Yu looked at her with calm eyes: "It's a good thing you appeared again, otherwise, I wouldn't be sure if seeing you was a hallucination."
"You left so decisively, have you found the whereabouts of the Yuan Family?"
Zhi'er sat opposite him, nodding lightly.
Xie Yu smiled self-mockingly: "Of course, you seem like an immortal, how could you not know their whereabouts."
"Since that's so, why did you come back?"
Zhi'er blinked, not understanding why he sounded so hurt.
