Julia was taken aback: "Saintess?"
She chuckled: "Are you joking with me, Father Yodel?"
Everyone knows the Holy Daughter of Light holds such a transcendent status within the Church; she is truly at the pinnacle of the entire church.
Though Julia has been a part of the Church for several years, she was never initially nurtured by it, and within its vast system, she has no connections, being an unnoticed fringe figure. Otherwise, she wouldn't have been sent here without any recourse.
For this reason, although she knew early on about the Church's recent selection of a saintess, she never thought she would have such an opportunity.
Thus, when Father Yodel shared this news with her, her first reaction was that it was merely a joke.
Father Yodel smiled at her without saying a word.
Seeing this, Julia felt a pang in her heart, and her smile gradually faded.
"Are you...serious?"
She asked, intensely watching Father Yodel's expression.
