The two Great Evil Gods were already mutually wounded and battered.
Yet, they fought more valiantly as the time node approached the [present], for both Evil Gods' powers were steadily increasing.
They awaited the last second to pass, at which point both Evil Gods would return to the [present] with their full strength to battle!
They both understood that this final second was crucial.
If they could defeat their opponent in this last second, they would achieve the ultimate victory; otherwise, once the time node reached the [present], defeating their opponent would become far more difficult.
