Compared to the last time he came, Jie Nianzhou—or rather the will of Bi Yanling as expressed through Jie Nianzhou—was much more deferential.
He neither asked for privileges nor tried to schedule experiments at ungodly hours that would require students to work overtime; it was just a few hours of lab time.
It was really too "normal."
Shi Qianqian's expression remained unchanged as she wrote Jie Nianzhou's name, the time slot, and the experiment type in her notebook: "Alright, next Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Just come fifteen minutes early to set up the equipment."
"Monday and Tuesday are already booked," Shi Qianqian added to explain that it wasn't a reluctance to give Jie Nianzhou an earlier time.
She had no particular opinion on Jie Nianzhou himself—or rather, most of the students from Bi Yanling's project group.
"Okay." Jie Nianzhou didn't say much more.
