Chapter 38 - Chapter 38: Primordial Angels Meeting

Following Lord Veldanava's command, Feldway summoned the other Primordial Angels. Dino, Pico, Gracia, Obera, Cornu, and Zalario all converged, gathering within the Grand Meeting Room of the Heavenly Palace. With all seven Primordial Angels present, the room held a terrifying stillness.

Zalario was the first to speak. "Feldway, what happened? You called all of us so urgently."

The others looked at him, even the usually lazy Dino was paying attention, as Feldway was the leader of their group. Feldway began without preamble: "I was given a task by Lord Veldanava to find the cause of the destruction of many universes. I found the cause: it was Ivarage, a mindless creature with no Ego of its own."

Astonishment rippled through the Angels. Zalario and Obera voiced the general question: "So, Feldway, what did you do? Did you kill the beast?"

Killing intent, cold and palpable, leaked from Feldway as he shook his head. "That beast is strong, and its energy is extremely corruptive. Its power rivals that of a True Dragon."

A profound silence fell. All six Angels—Pico, Gracia, Obera, Cornu, Zalario, and even the normally detached lazy Dino—were genuinely shocked. To hear that a mindless beast possessed the strength of a True Dragon was a sobering fact. As Primordial Angels, they were among the First Creations of Lord Veldanava, yet they all knew the True Dragons were the strongest race in existence. Currently, only three True Dragons existed: their Lord Veldanava, his younger siblings Velzard and Velgrynd. Aside from Feldway and Dino, none could confidently claim they could even fight the two younger True Dragons.

Zalario pressed, "So, Feldway, what must we do about this Ivarage?"

Feldway detailed the plan. "First, I need all six of you to use your combined powers, your Administrative Authorities, and your Ultimate Skills to find a stable dimension, strengthen it, and guard it continuously. When I lure Ivarage in to fight, the dimension must not break, and the battle must be contained. Understood?"

Everyone nodded in unison. But then Dino, ever the pragmatist, asked, "It's not that I think your plan is bad, but how do you plan to kill or defeat this beast by yourself alone?" This was a natural question; Ivarage was a genuine True Dragon-level threat, and since Feldway could not kill it in his first encounter, a new strategy was necessary.

Feldway replied, "Don't worry. Everything is planned for this battle. We will receive help from the Primordial Demon, Guy, and if things get out of hand, Origin will also step in to help."

At the mention of Origin, everyone nodded, much more confident than before. Not because Guy would help, but purely because Origin was involved. They all knew how ridiculously overpowered Origin was, and they now understood that this battle would end with their victory.

One by one, in a blink of an eye, each Angel teleported away to search for the most stable empty dimension. Their task was to reinforce it, preparing for the fight.

As everyone left, Feldway also began increasing his strength through practice and control. He knew he didn't want to be outshone by the Demon Lord Guy in the coming battle. He decided he would use his True Body this time to showcase that he was the second best after Lord Veldanava. Then he coughed, remembering that Origin exists, and corrected himself: "Well, I will be the third strongest after Lord Veldanava." He then left the meeting room to practice.

While the Angels were moving, in the Cardinal World, on the Northern Continent—the territory of the First Demon Lord, Guy —an event of spectacular power was unfolding.

If one approached the area, they would see a rainbow-colored barrier completely enclosing the entire continent. Even within that barrier, few beings could survive, as two beings were currently locked in a fierce battle of swords: Origin and Guy.

It had started simply. Origin, having nothing better to do, came to visit Guy. Guy, with a mischievous smile, suggested: "Hey, to see if I've truly mastered my sword World, shouldn't the both of us have a fight?"

Origin immediately wanted to refuse, not wanting to waste his time, but having no other pressing duties, he agreed. Before the duel, he placed an unimaginable number of barriers surrounding the entire Northern Continent. This magical display alone stunned Rain, Misery, and Guy. While Guy himself possessed the ability to cast a barrier on such a scale, it would drain too much magicules to maintain and would distract him from fighting. Seeing this, Guy was instantly impressed by the sheer magicules this "bastard" Origin possessed.

Guy smiled and said, "Hey Origin, I'm copying this technique of yours. Don't mind it. But if you want some fees for it," he said, smiling weirdly, "I could let you hold me for a night."

Origin's right eye twitched, unable to believe he was receiving the same treatment Leon would eventually receive in the future. "I don't have any interest in men," he replied flatly.

Guy countered, still smiling, "If you want, I can turn into a beautiful woman for you."

Rain and Misery, hearing their master's shameless words, had their eyes twitching. They looked pointedly at the atmosphere, pretending not to pay attention to the conversation at all.

Hearing the depth of Guy's shamelessness, Origin snapped, "Guy, if you utter those words to me again, I will beat you up badly."

Guy simply laughed. "Then do it. I truly want to fight you, okay?"

And so, the duel began. Guy and Origin clashed, their swords meeting multiple times in quick, blinding succession. In the beginning, each blocked the other's attacks effortlessly, but quickly both began fighting seriously, as Guy immediately started copying the complex sword techniques used by Origin. The duel had moved far beyond simple sparring; it was now a battle to see who was truly better.

Origin opened with the "Silver Slash," a flowing, upward diagonal cut that defied gravity. Seeing the attack, Guy didn't just block it; he stepped into the attack range, shattering the momentum with a rigid, heavy downward chop, perfectly countering the attack.

Origin merely smiled, knowing if Guy couldn't even block that, the match would be pointless. He flowed into a spinning backhand strike, his blade humming at a high pitch. Guy ducked, but instead of rising with a standard uppercut, he copied Origin's earlier footwork perfectly, executing his own "Silver Slash" in return, grinning as if to say, Thanks for the new technique.

Origin deflected his own technique with ease, a small grin splitting his face. He didn't mind the plagiarism as he said, "Guy, how many times will you copy my moves?" Guy simply continued to grin, knowing he'd be a fool not to copy such good moves.

The atmosphere grew heavy. Origin stopped holding back his magicules and swung his sword toward Guy.

BOOM.

Their blades met, and a visible shockwave expanded in a perfect ring. The solid rock beneath their feet instantly disintegrated, pulverized into sand. The barrier flickered as the shockwave slammed against it, but it held firm.

Inside, the terrain was being rewritten. Origin unleashed a horizontal cleave that sent a razor-wind tearing across the arena. Guy deflected it skyward, and the displaced air severed the ground behind him, carving a ravine thirty feet deep into the ground. Rain and Misery, who were watching, not only had to dodge stray sword attacks but also protect the castle. The battle had already destroyed some parts of the structure and killed some demons along the way. While neither Rain nor Misery cared about the demons, they cared deeply about the castle and quickly began protecting it to prevent its destruction. As the demons surviving quickly ran away so as not be killed by a stray attack.

The fight continued, and then began the mind games.

Guy staggered slightly, his guard drifting high, exposing his left waist—a fatal error no master would ever make. Origin's eyes locked onto the gap. He leaned in, his sword tip seeking the flesh above Guy's hip.

It's too easy.

The thought hit Origin a microsecond before the trap sprang. Guy's "stumble" vanished. He pivoted on his heel, snapping his blade around in a decapitating arc aimed at Origin's neck.

Origin instantly abandoned his attack. He wrenched his sword up, the steel screaming as he quickly intercepted the neck slash. He kicked off the ground, sliding ten meters backwards.

"Nice try," Origin muttered, wiping dust from his cheek. "Come on, Guy, are we using tricks in the fight?"

"It didn't work, did it?" Guy replied nicely. "I was using strategy, okay?" Origin didn't respond. He knew Guy would use absolutely everything available in a fight. Which Origin didn't mind,

Now it was Origin's turn. He adopted a high guard, but his right elbow flared out—a minute, almost invisible opening that left his ribcage vulnerable.

Guy saw it. He knew Origin was far too good for such an oversight. He knew it was bait.

But I can be faster than the trap.

Guy launched himself. He didn't aim for the ribs; he aimed to crush Origin's defense entirely.

Origin's trap snapped shut. As Guy entered his range, Origin dropped his guard and whipped his blade horizontally—a gut-level slash meant to bisect Guy in mid-air.

Guy had anticipated the counter. In a quick display of agility, he planted his lead foot and threw his body backward into a somersault.

SHING.

Two lines of blood sprayed into the air simultaneously.

Origin's blade hissed underneath the flipping Guy, missing a lethal disembowelment by an inch, but slicing a clean, burning line across Guy's chest.

However, Guy wasn't just dodging. Mid-flip, inverted and upside down, he lashed out with the tip of his own sword.

Origin looked down at the cut on his stomach. As Guy landed gracefully on his feet five paces away, a red stain began to bloom on Origin's stomach, mirroring the cut on Guy's chest.

Origin knew looking at his wound and thought as expected of Primordial Demon Guy this guy is indeed a monster he even managed to damage as expected Guy indeed has the best Battle IQ.

Both Origin and Guy stopped, knowing that a quick victor could not be decided between them. Guy could continue to copy more and more techniques, while Origin, using his Manas En Sof, could create more and more techniques to fight.

Origin and Guy instantly regenerated their damaged body parts—a trivial task for them. Origin commented, "That was one of the best sword battles I ever had. Only Dino could make me excited in sword fights."

Guy, intrigued, asked, "Who is Dino?"

Origin replied, "Well, Dino is a Primordial Angel, and he is the best swordsman. In fact, at the start, most of my moves were learned and copied from him during our fights. He is also Veldanava's chief advisor." Guy's interest in Dino increased, and he made a mental note of the name.

Origin then snapped his finger, removing the barrier surrounding the Northern Continent. He looked at Guy's almost broken castle and said, "Guy, it seems your castle is almost broken." Guy said nothing, but his expression clearly showed his displeasure. They quickly moved toward the castle.

Rain and Misery knew the battle between Guy-sama and Origin-sama was over and waited quietly for a scolding from Guy-sama for failing to protect the castle.

Origin, seeing the broken structure, had an idea. He communicated with his Manas En Sof. "Hey En Sof, you know the Harry Potter movies and it's books from my memories, right?"

"That is correct, Master Origin."

"Then could you recreate the magic spell Mending Charm? It was a charm that could be used to seamlessly repair a broken or ripped object and worked on most materials."

"Yes, Master Origin. If you wish, I can replicate it. Do you wish to proceed?"

"Yes," Origin said. In a few milliseconds, En Sof replicated the Mending Charm.

Origin looked at Guy, who was currently scolding Rain and Misery for failing to protect the castle. "Hey Guy, see this," he said.

Upon hearing this, Guy looked at Origin. Origin snapped his fingers and began teaching Rain and Misery the magic. They both watched as the broken parts of the castle were quickly going back and reattaching themselves. In a few moments, the castle was as good as new.

Rain and Misery were overjoyed. If they knew this magic, their work would be significantly reduced, as sometimes the demons they summoned for work would disobey, forcing them to kill the subordinates. This often destroyed parts of the castle, requiring them to rebuild it every time. Since they sensed this was magic and not a Skill, they could learn and then easily use it.

Guy, seeing the castle back to its perfect state, looked at Origin. Then Origin, who was showing off his abilities, said, "Don't thank me. It was a spell I just invented to help you, so don't mind."

Guy's face darkened slightly looking at him showing off, but he looked at Origin and asked, "Hey, was this a magic spell?" Origin nodded. "Do you want to learn it?"

Guy said, "No, I don't want to learn, but if you can teach this to my two useless maids, Rain and Misery, I will owe you a favour."

Origin replied, "Never mind, I don't need your favour. Since we are friends. I can teach them for free." Rain and Misery, hearing Guy's words, were happily dancing in their minds, thinking, Guy-sama is the best.

Guy then asked, "By the way, Origin, what does this spell do? After all, to me this seemed like Time going back, but also not like it."

Origin replied, "Well, let me tell you. The Mending Magic is a magic that can be used to seamlessly repair a broken or ripped object and works on most materials. This incredibly useful and practical charm was invented by me specifically for this, okay?" Origin, without changing his expression, took full credit for the creation of the magic. Hearing the usefulness of this magic, Guy admitted, "This is indeed a good magic."

Origin quickly taught the magic to Rain and Misery, who both learned it very swiftly.

Afterwards, Guy and Origin sat drinking wine and eating some pizza and burgers. Guy asked, "By the way, what was the reason you came to see me, Origin?"

Origin replied while drinking the wine, "Well, I had nothing to do, so I came to meet you. Plus, Feldway has talked with the Primordial Angels, and they have gone to search for a stable dimension. I came to see you because I was free, and I wanted to tell you to keep an eye on Twilight Valentine."

Guy became interested and asked, "What happened? Why should I keep an eye on Twilight?"

"Well," Origin said, "that guy is a mad scientist, and he has already caused many problems for you, if I guess correctly."

Rain jumped in. "Yes, Origin-sama, that Twilight guy's many monsters that he created always cause chaos many times, and Misery and I have to wipe his ass off!"

Origin nodded. "In fact, I have already made Dagruel keep an eye on him, but to be sure, you should keep an eye on him too." Guy nodded, and they continued their conversation, drinking more wine and eating more food.

Origin eventually stood and said to Guy, "Well, my business is over, so bye-bye." Origin then disappeared in black particles, moving away.

That Time I got Reincarnated As A Slime is over one of the best novels according to me I enjoyed it a lot and finally it's over but there is confirmation that there will be side sequels because the lore is very big to show everything like we will she Rudra's journey and his story
