Whitebeard watched Buggy and his followers with a thoughtful look. He was surprised to see that the red-nosed guy from Roger's crew was still so strong, and the prisoners with him were tough, too. Together, they could cause a lot of problems for the Marines. He was just glad that Buggy was so easy to trick; otherwise, it would have been a pain to get rid of them.
The battlefield was filled with the smell of gunpowder. In the square, a Marine Captain named Carl was cutting through the ranks of the sailors, fighting Momousagi and Chaton. Meanwhile, Luffy was fiercely battling Kizaru.
The rest of the Straw Hat crew were also in tight spots: Sanji and Zoro were held back by a Vice Admiral, while Nami, Franky, Chopper, Usopp, and the others were each facing off against a Rear Admiral. With so many Marines closing in, it seemed impossible to move even a single step forward. The Merry was completely surrounded, and Chopper and Usopp were struggling to keep up.
This was a bad situation. If they couldn't move forward, how were they supposed to save Ace? Carl saw the Straw Hats' predicament, but he didn't rush in. He continued to observe the entire battle. The Whitebeard Pirates were fighting fiercely at the bay, but the Marines were holding their ground, preventing them from entering the plaza.
Carl also noticed something strange. The cannons were all aimed at the pirates at the head of the bay, but none of the shells were hitting the bay itself.
He also saw that Joz, who had been fighting Akainu, was now being held back by a Vice Admiral, and Akainu was nowhere to be found.
In an instant, Carl realized that Sengoku's plan was still in motion. Akainu was probably looking for the pirate Squard. That idiot was an easy target, and Whitebeard couldn't afford to be seriously injured right now.
Carl subconsciously moved toward the bay, with Momousagi and Chaton still on his tail. At the same time, the escaped Impel Down prisoners began to turn the tide of the battle. Sabo and the mysterious man in black were locked in an intense fight in the air.
Jinbe and Ivankov led their group of prisoners, tearing a hole in the Marine ranks. However, they were soon confronted by several Warlords who had nothing to do.
Carl glanced at Doflamingo and smirked. Doflamingo thought he had tricked Trafalgar Law with his fake news, but when Law showed up, Doflamingo would be in for a surprise. His subordinates' hearts might not be safe for much longer!
Suddenly, a giant shadow appeared at the entrance to the bay. A moment later, the figure became clear: a huge, pale-green-skinned monster with two horns and enormous fangs. This monster was so huge that even a giant's arm was smaller than his. It was terrifying just to look at him.
"It's Oz!"
"Oz is here!"
This monster was Little Oz Jr., a crew member of the Whitebeard Pirates and a descendant of the ancient demon, Oz. When he appeared, the Marines panicked, and even the giants in their ranks looked uneasy.
A giant Vice Admiral said, "For the first time in my life, I'm looking up at someone!" He was right. Little Oz Jr. was so big that he looked as if he were a giant and the other giants were regular humans.
The Straw Hats were also stunned, their jaws on the floor. It was the first time they had seen such a massive creature, and they couldn't help but be amazed by the size of the beings in the world.
"Ace! I'm here to save you! Roar!" Little Oz Jr. roared, his voice shaking all of Marineford. Many of the sailors trembled uncontrollably, but the Marines were made of elite fighters and quickly regained their composure. The cannons all immediately turned to Little Oz Jr., firing round after round of shells, but they did nothing to him.
"What a monster!"
"How are we supposed to fight that thing?!"
The sailors were terrified, but there was no running on the battlefield. Little Oz Jr. reached a warship near the entrance to the bay, picked it up, and threw it at the crowd of Marines, killing countless soldiers in an instant.
From a distance, Moria cackled. "Heh heh heh heh heh! That corpse of Oz, I really want it! If I get his body and put a strong person's shadow in it, I'll have the power of two demons. I'll be so strong that I can fight Kaido again! Little Oz Jr.'s body will be mine!"
Moria's voice was loud, and many people heard him, including Carl. Carl just rolled his eyes. Moria had a funny way of thinking, a complete mix of ignorance and fearlessness. The current Kaido was nothing like the one Moria had fought before.
Kaido was a Yonko now. Moria couldn't even find a demon's body to put a shadow in. What he had to ask himself was, "What about my Haki?" Moria probably knew about Haki, but it was weak at best; he relied solely on his Devil Fruit power.
With his current strength, he might have been able to make it in the first half of the Grand Line, but in the New World, he would be the one getting beaten up. He couldn't even handle a single punch from Jinbe, yet he wanted to fight Kaido again. He was dreaming.
Carl didn't bother to laugh at Moria. The guy wasn't going to last long anyway. Little Oz Jr. had already broken through the Marine's defensive line and was nearing the Moby d**k.
Whitebeard looked at him and said, "Ozzy, don't be reckless!"
Little Oz Jr. answered with determination, "Pops! Let me save Ace! Don't stop me!"
Whitebeard sighed and watched Little Oz Jr. continue forward despite his words. He shouted to his crew, "Everyone, protect Oz as he goes forward!" Little Oz Jr.'s huge body was strong, but it also made him an easy target. Even if the shells couldn't hurt him, the attacks from the powerful Marines could kill him. Whitebeard didn't want to see him die.
On the execution platform, Ace also shouted anxiously, "Ozzy! Don't be impulsive! If you keep going, you'll be a sitting duck!"
But Little Oz Jr. still refused to listen. "Ace is a good man, I have to save him!" When Luffy and Sabo heard that, they instantly liked Little Oz Jr. But as Ace said, Little Oz Jr. would definitely become a target—he was so huge even a blind person could hit him.
Luffy and Sabo were still in their own fights. Luffy suddenly screamed, "Mr. Carl! Don't let him die!" Carl sighed and gave a reluctant nod. "I'll try my best."
