From afar, all those present in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber could only watch in fascination at the majestic scene before them and the heavenly glow that painted the endless white of this void with emotion.
No matter how you looked at Vegeta and Weiss, this connection between them was beautiful and only seemed to grow stronger with each passing second as their auras resonated together into something more.
The mere fact that they were floating towards the infinite sky above as they kissed served to enhance this magical moment.
"Kyaaa!" Ruby couldn't contain her newly discovered teenage side and squealed with happiness! "It's like watching a fairy tale come true!"
One in which the white princess and the golden prince would end up living happily ever after!
Ruby was so happy for her best friend and her mentor!
It looked like the wedding would really happen someday, and the position of maid of honor was hers!
But then something occurred to her: a foreign thought capable of making her smile falter and her chest tighten.
In a way, it was one of the many ugly feelings that reflected in Yang and Blake's eyes.
Envy.
Someday, will I, too, find someone incredible like that? The answer seemed obvious, and that discouraged Ruby a little. Now, I kind of understand why Yang and Blake also want to be "together, together" with Vegeta.
After all, it was in human nature or that of a faunus to want to be happy and have the best possible partner.
Unfortunately, the only person more incredible than Vegeta in the universe, for now, was the man whose complacency and recklessness resulted in tragedy more than once.
Still, who knows? Ruby decided to put these pessimistic thoughts aside, especially since it was too early for her to think about this kind of thing. The universe is so big!
Not only that, but there were twelve of them!
While there might not be any people stronger or cooler than Vegeta out there, that didn't mean there wasn't anyone just as amazing.
Power wasn't everything, and that was a fact.
Her father was a perfect example of this.
Unfortunately, not everyone shared Ruby's optimism about the future.
Yang was regretting to the core her various comments from before, when she asked about the wedding date, or when she said that Weiss and Vegeta should kiss, or devour him before he got cold... While she was playing around and being a bitter loser, to the point of making Weiss revert to her earlier snobbish self by letting Yang get caught in the increased gravity of this chamber and laughing about it, there was relief in knowing that the relationship between these two hadn't progressed too far and that she might still have a chance.
It seemed that was no longer the case, and such a realization cut deep into her wounded heart.
Even Blake couldn't find it in her to write about what she was seeing, even though it was such a beautiful and magical scene... because she wasn't the one there, living this moment, and that hurt.
However, that wasn't the only reason she felt this way.
As many already knew, Weiss could be a little bitch with her pretentious attitude, but kissing Vegeta in front of them was mean even for her.
Seeing how reciprocal that gesture and Weiss' feelings really were only served to cement what was already obvious and finish breaking her heart.
While Yang and Blake still wanted to play the long game, especially after Vegeta had acknowledged progress on their personal problems and praised them for it, perhaps it would be better if they were more realistic and open to other options.
It would be less painful that way.
Glynda and Winter weren't taking it much better, both stunned by how bold and reckless Weiss could be. However, their reactions were motivated by more than just surprise and disbelief.
One just sighed as she received the definitive answer that Vegeta had never been within her reach and that she needed to make peace with it. The other was getting a headache just thinking about the extent of the trouble her little sister was getting into and the fact that she was incapable of doing anything about it.
Still, they both had to admit: this moment they were witnessing was like a dream or the realization of a fairy tale, just as Ruby Rose had said.
Ozpin, on the other hand, only raised an eyebrow, surprised and intrigued by this unexpected development, but then smiled as he saw it as a good thing.
As long as Miss Schnee was around and maintained this relationship, Vegeta wouldn't be a real enemy of Remnant.
In a way, it was ironic that even such a powerful man could be tamed by a beautiful woman.
Although with that kind of power, Weiss Schnee was much more than a pretty face.
Somehow, this young woman was radiating with magic in proportions that surpassed Ozpin even at his prime and growing with every passing second.
For a moment, he even thought that she had taken the power of all the Maidens for herself, but that wasn't the case at all.
How ironic. Ozpin had a slightly different smile as he realized the hypocrisy taking place in front of him. Vegeta hates me for being a Wizard, but the woman he holds in his arms has the potential to be one far greater than I ever was.
Perhaps, out of sheer spite, Ozpin should offer his teachings to Weiss and help her become everything she was destined to be. Unfortunately, that could have a catastrophic result, and aggravating this man was the last thing he wanted.
As for Qrow, unexpectedly, he felt envious of this lucky bastard, and that was a bit weird.
After all, not only was the first girl who managed to take his breath away with her ethereal beauty the same age as Yang, but she was the younger sister of someone whom he made it his personal mission to torment every time they met.
Winter was so stoic that Qrow couldn't help but tease her to try and break her persona. Not just her; he also had this thing with Glynda, even if it was to a lesser degree.
All because of Raven.
His sister was exactly like that, and seeing people acting the same way reminded him of the past... of betrayal, of his mistakes and regrets.
That's why Qrow started drinking and acting like an idiot in the first place, to be the polar opposite of everything his damned sister stood for.
Not that it mattered at the moment, just that this stupid decision was another reason for him to regret, and that things needed to change.
If not for him or his family, then for Remnant and the threats outside this world.
On the other side of these convoluted emotions, Vegeta and Weiss were lost in a world of their own while their powers resonated in harmony with the feelings in their hearts. In a way, it was almost like when they awakened each other's powers, except that no resistance or hesitation was holding them back.
This connection was so strong that Weiss' icy blue hair was glowing golden as her body adapted to Vegeta's power and grew stronger. Truth be told, in just a few minutes, her dress had turned golden and transformed into something entirely new, but just as beautiful.
As for Vegeta, while he wasn't undergoing substantial changes from the minor influence of Weiss's power, he was also benefiting from it. His Aura was growing much faster than with his extreme training methods, just as it had been the day before, thus concluding that this turmoil of emotions and the resonance between souls was the answer he was looking for.
In more ways than one could imagine.
This realization made Vegeta's heart waver, and the connection between them broke, just like the kiss being shared. Even so, they didn't pull away from each other. Weiss's arms remained on Vegeta's shoulders, and the same could be said of his hands around her waist as they floated miles above the ground.
"Wow..." Weiss was almost breathless, her eyes now glowing gold and wide open as her heart pounded nonstop along with the pulse of all that power overflowing from her body. "What... just happened?"
Whatever it was, it had been incredible and in a way that she couldn't even find the words to describe!
"Weiss, you..." Vegeta wasn't much better, but the same couldn't be said for the conflict that afflicted him, being great enough for him to ignore the tremendous change this girl had experienced. "Why did you do that?"
He already knew the answer from the day before, but he still wanted a reason for her to be so... bold, especially at a time like this.
"I'm just..." Weiss smiled mischievously as she looked into the distance where her rivals were and almost froze in place. "Sending... a message?"
The last part came out almost in a whisper as her smile disappeared. That's because, even at this distance, Weiss could see everyone so clearly that they seemed to be standing in front of her, and that included the defeated expressions of her teammates.
Realization hit her like a bullhead, and Weiss felt terrible about it.
I... ignored their feelings completely. She was so caught up in her own emotions and jealousy that she hadn't even thought about those around her. Not just their feelings.
Vegeta still hadn't gotten over his loss and his love for Bulma. At least, not completely, and that only made her thoughtless actions all the worse.
"I-I'm sorry..." Now Weiss was feeling like an insensitive idiot and couldn't even look Vegeta in the eye. "I shouldn't have done that."
No matter how reciprocal and magical it had all been, it was still too early to take such a significant step.
Or so Weiss and her guilt-ridden mind wanted to believe.
"I... didn't hate what you did." Despite his internal conflict, Vegeta had to admit this much, being unable to lie after everything that had happened. "Just... don't do that in front of other people."
If there was one thing he hated, it was public displays of affection, and that was something that would never change.
Now, about not rejecting this girl, Vegeta had already tried and failed before, so he didn't even bother.
They were beyond that point, and Whis was right, just like always.
This world had everything he needed, and knowing Bulma, she would really want him to move on... even if Vegeta still had his doubts about it.
"Wait, really?!" Weiss was looking at him again, and her heart skipped a beat as she saw him blush. "Does that mean we... You know?"
She couldn't help but shy away, too, her white skin heating up at the possibility. After all, there was hardly anything that would make her happier than the confirmation that they were dating now!
Vegeta didn't answer right away; his heart was conflicted as to what to say and for so many reasons, but it could all be summed up with... guilt.
A feeling that the girl in front of him could understand very well.
"Maybe?" Vegeta let go of Weiss and preferred to be vague about it, without confirming or denying the current status of their relationship. "I think it's too early to tell."
Literally, and that was one of the reasons that fueled his conflict the most.
It hadn't been long since they'd met, and things seemed to be moving too fast, almost dangerously so.
While Vegeta was open to the idea of moving on with his life, the way it was happening seemed like an insult to Bulma's memory and everything they had been through together.
"Oh..." Weiss also let go of Vegeta and stood there, floating by herself without realizing it. "I think you're right."
At the end of the day, as excited as she was about her first love, there had to be a bit of moderation, and Weiss was glad that Vegeta wasn't like other men. Otherwise, she'd be pregnant before the year was over, and that was a no-no... right?
It wasn't as if Weiss hated the idea of being a mother, certainly a much better one than Willow ever was, but it was too soon for something like that!
"That aside, I think I should congratulate you." Vegeta was quick to change the subject and not let the mood between them get weird... even more so than it already was. "Your power has evolved and grown again."
Certainly, this was the result of the influence of his own power as a Super Saiyan, but it was nonetheless a considerable achievement that put Weiss on a completely different level.
Honestly, she could destroy Nappa without using her hands and give someone like Guldo a fight based on raw power alone.
"Hmm?" Weiss didn't understand what he was talking about, but only until she looked at herself and finally realized the changes that couldn't be more meaningful. "Wha...?"
She was all golden!
Her beautiful dress, her strands of hair, the Glyph floating above her head, and even her Aura had changed!
What's more, she was flying!
"H-how did this happen?!" Weiss instinctively grabbed onto Vegeta, afraid of losing control and falling. "My power... looks like yours!"
Kind of.
Certainly, visually speaking, they couldn't be more different since, fortunately, Weiss hadn't gotten all muscular or spiky-haired, but the feeling that this golden power gave off was just like Vegeta's!
"That's because it is." Vegeta could feel his Ki flowing through her body, mixing and becoming one with her power permanently. "It seems that your Semblance can absorb and adapt to other types of power."
Quite an ability, he had to say, rivaling his own Semblance that could transform his body into pure power.
With that, there was a good chance that Weiss would be able to adapt to the divine power of Super Saiyan God and the combined powers of Super Saiyan Blue, too.
Just thinking about this possibility made Vegeta extremely excited.
Looks like I found a hidden gem. He was smiling again, feeling strangely proud of this beautiful girl in his arms. One who has the potential to one day be among the most powerful in the universe.
Initially, Vegeta believed that Ruby Rose was more blessed for having a spark of divinity in her eyes, but that was nothing compared to this ability.
If there was any doubt that Weiss was worthy of receiving his teachings, it had just disappeared without leaving a trace.
Not only that, if anything happened and Vegeta did end up dying in his fight against Kakarot, which was a real possibility regardless of his decision to want to live, his legacy would live on in more than just Bulla.
In fact, Weiss could even pass on those teachings to his daughter and guide her if Whis didn't take the initiative.
If Vegeta dies, of course.
So... am I doing something similar to what Nergigante did? Weiss was considering Vegeta's words and trying to understand what had happened to her. No, not exactly. Her family's Semblance always had an adaptive capacity far above the others in the use of Dust. It just so happened that my Glyphs evolved with my awakening, and this is the result.
With this, Weiss could walk alongside Vegeta with her head held high and maybe even help him become stronger!
What's more, this change in power was a testament to the connection between her and her beloved; the consolidation of their relationship that would only progress going forward.
While I feel bad for the others and need to apologize for being an idiot, that doesn't change what just happened. Weiss used her hand, gloved by that golden power, to caress Vegeta's face and smiled at the way his muscular arms were wrapped tightly around her. Much less the fact that I don't intend to lose you to anyone in this universe.
That included Kakarot.
