Chapter 6 - God?

Shiro had always enjoyed messing with people—especially women.

As breathtaking as his current appearance might have been, it was not part of this identity but rather his true form. The reactions he garnered from others amused him, and these two were no exception.

In his first life, Shiro had been quite handsome, but due to a lack of proper care, his good looks had never been fully appreciated—except by his mother. Now, however, his beauty was undeniable, refined through countless transformations and the passage of time.

Still, he set those thoughts aside and turned his attention back to his personal realm.

It had been thousands of years since he created this place, and even now, it continued to expand infinitely, feeding off the excess energy of [Imaginary Collapse].

This was just one of the countless [Imaginary Spaces] Shiro had formed, crafted using [Infinity Prison] and [Maze Craft] as templates. In essence, it was a self-sustaining pocket universe—though one devoid of outer space or celestial bodies. Instead, an endless stretch of land thrived under the illumination of its own self-contained ecosystem.

Shiro could have shaped the realm however he pleased, molding it into a paradise of his own design. Yet, he had chosen to leave it as it was—not out of a deep respect for nature's course, but simply because he was too lazy to put in the effort.

Even so, despite his neglect, the realm had developed into something truly beautiful. The landscape flourished in perfect harmony, free from the chaos of natural selection. There were no predators, no prey—only mystical beings sustained by the abundant natural energy, much like monsters from Tensura. The absence of conflict ensured a peaceful existence, something that worked entirely in Shiro's favor.

With a sigh, Shiro shifted his focus back to the two women, who had finally snapped out of their daze.

"Who are you?" Riko asked meekly, gazing up at him like a lost kitten.

Shiro stroked his nonexistent beard, as if contemplating a grand explanation.

"You can call me Shiro," he finally said. "As for who I am… you could say I own this entire place. And as for why you're here… Well, after taking pity on you two and resurrecting you, I figured it would be cruel to just leave you behind to fend for yourselves. So, I brought you here."

"Owner of this place?" Riko muttered, glancing around in awe.

This was definitely not Earth. Floating islands, radiant flora, and mystical creatures roamed freely—unicorns, dragons, phoenixes, griffins, and beings she had only ever seen in fantasy. There was no sun or moon, yet the world was bathed in a gentle, ambient glow.

And then there was the part about resurrection.

As unbelievable as it sounded, she knew she had died. That moment, the bullet piercing her skull, was no hallucination. If anything, this felt more like the dream.

"…Are you a god?" she asked hesitantly, looking up at Shiro with a mix of awe and uncertainty.

"…"

Shiro remained silent.

It wasn't an exaggeration to call him a GOD. His power, abilities, and very existence had long surpassed mortal limits. And yet, he didn't truly see himself as one.

After all, even he had once been at the mercy of the whims of a higher existence.

Shiro shrugged, running a hand through the back of his head.

"I'm no god. I'm just a human with some power. Nothing more, nothing less."

He kept his explanation simple. Shiro disliked overcomplicating things, and explaining every little detail to people he had just met wasn't really his style. It was easier this way—claiming to be a super powered human was far more acceptable to mortals than the idea of standing in the presence of a god, even if that god was just an avatar.

"I see…"

Although slightly disappointed, Riko and Kuroi still looked at Shiro with reverence.

God or not, the fact that he had resurrected them and owned an entire independent space was beyond anything a normal super powered being should be capable of.

Unbeknownst to the two while they're still asleep before Shiro had already engraved some runes using [Rune Magic] and [Contract Magic] in their mind, body and soul ensuring secrecy to the absolute.

"Thank you!"

The two women stood up and bowed deeply to Shiro, their gratitude overflowing. Being alive was far better than being dead.

Shiro nodded, then proceeded to explain the intricacies of their situation.

They were publicly dead. That meant they couldn't simply reappear in society without causing major complications. If they accidentally encountered someone who knew them, it would create a storm of trouble—not just for themselves but for Shiro as well, something neither of them wanted to happen.

As the weight of reality settled in, their moods darkened.

Seeing this, Shiro offered them two choices.

They could either live in this space, free from the outside world, or assume entirely new identities.

To reassure them, Shiro demonstrated his ability to freely alter a person's appearance through [Lust]. Though he trusted that Riko and Kuroi would never betray him, he wasn't careless.

Unbeknownst to them, before they had even awakened, Shiro had already inscribed powerful runes into their minds, bodies, and souls using [Rune Magic] and [Contract Magic], ensuring absolute secrecy. If he so wished, he could make them his slaves, and they would have no choice but to accept their fate.

But such a vile thought had never even crossed his mind.

He was simply being decisive and cautious, covering all his tracks to ensure not just his own safety but also theirs.

The world was unpredictable, and while he had no reason to doubt Riko and Kuroi's gratitude, trust alone was never enough. He had lived through too many betrayals and unforeseen complications in his first life to leave anything to chance. Ensuring their secrecy wasn't about control—it was about insurance.

With these measures in place, Shiro could protect them from external threats while also shielding them from the consequences of their own actions should they ever slip up.

That was just how he operated.

"Can't we choose both?" Riko asked after a minute of contemplation, looking up at Shiro with determination.

Her words left Shiro a bit speechless.

"We're grateful for your grace, Master Shiro. But we know there's no free meal in this world. We want to repay your kindness by becoming useful to you in any way possible," she continued.

Kuroi, understanding her mistress's mindset, nodded in agreement. "That's right. We owe you our lives, and we'd rather stand by your side than simply hide away."

'You're already calling me Master…' Shiro grumbled inwardly, feeling slightly amused.

"Just as Kuroi said," Riko added cheerfully.

However, their intentions weren't solely about repaying their debt. How could they possibly pass up the opportunity to stay close to such a powerful and beautiful man?

Having lived in the Jujutsu Society, their mindset was vastly different from that of normal people. They understood power and influence—and they weren't foolish enough to let go of such an opportunity.

"Ugh…"

Seeing Shiro's expression darken, the two women tensed, unsure if they had said something wrong.

Shiro looked up at the sky and let out a long sigh.

'Another two in the mix wouldn't make a difference.' He consoled himself.

This wasn't the first time something like this had happened. At this point, he could only blame himself—being both good-looking and kind was truly a curse.

After a moment, Shiro exhaled deeply and looked back at the two. He shrugged. "Do as you please."

To them, his words were like a divine decree.

The two immediately jumped in excitement, their faces lighting up with joy.
