Chapter 297 - 297 - The River of Origins

Among the four primeval Creator Gods, Death appeared before Kei within the mountains, revealing her true form.

A seductive figure, crimson cheeks, tightly clenched thighs brought together by instinct, she radiated an aura of death so terrifying, it could shake the world.

It was clear just how much pain and damage Kei's unscrupulous methods had inflicted upon her!

Snap.

He snapped his fingers.

The entire pocket universe violently shuddered, and gradually the trembling ceased. The powers of laws and concepts began to calm.

The Creator God of Death retracted her surging deathly aura.

She grabbed Hela in one motion, rescued her from countless conceptual restraints, and tossed her back into her original universe, Earth-616.

"Fuck, next time just say you're here to rob my body or my wealth, I'll gladly spread my legs and welcome you!"

Death glared viciously at Kei.

If not for the constant, intense sense of crisis lingering at the back of her mind, she would have struck back against this so-called "Creator God" right then and there.

She truly wished she could tear him apart!

Compressing endless time using Eternity and Infinity, then using reversed death energy to disrupt her powers, and finally unleashing a barrage of world-level perverse concepts in rapid repetition within seconds—

What kind of insane techniques were those?!

If she hadn't retained a shred of reason, she might've just self-destructed along with the entire world out of spite!

"You serious about that offer?"

Kei raised a brow, eyeing Death's alluring figure.

Truthfully, her manifested form was maxed out in charm: black hair, black eyes, completely his type.

"...State your goal first."

Death bit her lip, the overwhelming sense of danger making it impossible to even flirt back.

She could tell: this Creator God, despite his world being less than a ten-thousandth the size of theirs, had been a threat from the moment he barged into their reality.

And with his rapid growth, from a lowly dimensional demon to a Creator God with absurdly high status, the sense of danger he exuded only intensified.

Most critically, worlds could devour other worlds.

For someone to become a fourfold entity, Death, Eternity, Infinity, and Devourer in one, and still radiate such existential danger…

Their previous decision to yield and avoid war was already the greatest compromise they could make. What more did he want?

"I want to meet Oblivion, copy her power, and ascend."

Kei, seeing Death's wary stance, sighed helplessly.

Death frowned slightly.

That reason sounded… reasonable.

This Creator God had already integrated the powers of Death, Eternity, Infinity, and Devourer, becoming a fourfold entity.

If he were to acquire the power of Oblivion as well…

Considering his potential since appearance, completing his world's puzzle could indeed enable ascension.

Stop him?

Stopping him would be tantamount to declaring war. No Creator God could tolerate interference in their ascension!

But still…

"Are you sure you're just copying?"

"Positive. If you don't trust me, you can have Eternity and Infinity watch the whole thing."

"...I'm afraid you'll catch us all in one net."

Death rolled her eyes but, after a few seconds of contemplation, finally spoke again:

"I need you to promise, don't become our enemy, and don't destroy our world."

"I promise."

"...Fine."

Death stared intently at Kei for several seconds. Then her form, composed of pure conceptual power, vanished from the current universe.

Moments later, the concept of Oblivion condensed and formed: a body with deep blue skin, eyes glowing with pink-violet light.

Covered in a tattered cloak filled with oblivion concepts.

A hollow, ethereal voice echoed through the universe:

"Proceed."

System, duplicate [Origin: Oblivion]!

Kei's eyes gleamed as he immediately locked onto the foremost rainbow trait in Oblivion's concept field.

It wasn't some divine name or obscure title.

It was a fundamental world-origin concept.

"Thank you."

With a smile, Kei nodded to Oblivion and vanished in a flash, returning to his own Divine Kingdom.

Oblivion paused in surprise, he hadn't expected the copy process to be so fast.

Regaining his composure, sensing that the threatening aura had already vanished from their world, he dissolved his conceptual form and traveled to where Death, Eternity, and Infinity were gathered, ready to discuss how they should respond to this Creator God who didn't belong to their universe.

In the Divine Kingdom, upon returning, Kei instantly activated the rainbow trait [Origin: Oblivion].

It was like placing the final piece of a puzzle.

Above the Divine Kingdom, Eternity, Infinity, Death, and Oblivion shimmered in tandem, spinning endlessly.

The Devourer concept, previously missing from the [Galaxy Devourer] trait, now surfaced and linked to the Divine Kingdom.

Five origin-level concepts now intertwined and cycled endlessly.

Like Yin and Yang, they merged and evolved, ceaselessly completing one another.

Following the integration of the five world-origin forces, the concept of Fate from the [Prophet of Fate], and the concepts of Order, Truth, and War from the [Arena of the Gods] also began to appear within the Divine Kingdom.

An epiphany struck.

His lips curled into a faint smile, and he immediately spoke to the system:

System, use the Trait Integration opportunity. Fuse all owned traits!

The Divine Kingdom, which had always been as bright as daytime, now transformed, the radiant sky instantly shifted between sunsets, starry nights, and breaking dawn.

As his soul trembled violently, his humanoid form condensed from world-origin energy and merged with the sky and earth.

The beings that had long lived within the branches of the World Tree looked up in confusion at the ever-changing sky.

The "stars" that had once illuminated this world all crumbled into nothingness.

The entire world had become one great cosmic river of origin, an endless, flowing cycle.

Eternity, Infinity, Death, Oblivion, Devourer, Time, Space, Power, Chaos, Life, Fate, Causality, Reincarnation, Five Elements, Yin-Yang...

All these origin concepts flowed through the world like one immense river.

Most beings, too weak to comprehend any of it, fainted after just one glance.

Even Tsunade, Kushina, and Lelith couldn't last long under the flow of these thousands of divine laws.

But even a brief glimpse... it was a destiny-altering blessing for all of them.

Time passed slowly.

After more than an hour, the river of origin finally faded and merged into the fabric of the world.

Kei once again formed a physical body beneath the World Tree.

At the same time, the system's notification rang out:

---

[Trait System has achieved its preset target: Supreme Creator Deity.]

[Trait System fully unlocked. Merged with the world of the Supreme Creator.]

(The Trait System is now integrated with the Universal Engine. New features unlocked: Create Traits, Grant, Copy, Upgrade, Downgrade, Seal, Strip, etc. Thousands of origin-level attacks and world-origin power enabled.)

(Please name the new engine.)

---

"...Creation," Kei replied.

Hearing the barrage of system notifications and feeling the transformation of the engine and system, he smiled.

The system had completely merged with his world.

From now on, there would likely be no more random trait draws, only traits created by his own hand.

But now, he had access to origin-point downgrades and trait stripping without limitation!

That's likely what the Marvel Creator Gods truly feared.

To feel threatened by a world-origin level trait system, it made sense. The Marvel deities clearly stood a level above the so-called "gods" of other worlds.

Suppressing these wild thoughts, Kei turned his gaze toward the World Tree.

With a single thought, countless world portals began to appear within the fruits of the tree. In just a few dozen seconds, over ten thousand fully-formed Cosmic Fruits had ripened.

Some curious lifeforms near the portals had already begun cautiously probing them.

The gates to myriad worlds had now opened.

It was certain, this place would soon become the hub where beings from all worlds gather and exchange.

In the Marvel Universe, inside one of the Cosmic Fruits, Hela, Goddess of Death from Earth-616, cautiously poked her head through a world portal.

Her long, silky hair full of deathly aura and her freshly cleaned clothes made it obvious, she had been thoroughly "scrubbed clean."

Kei instantly sensed two distinct consciousnesses inside her.

One belonged to Hela. The other, undoubtedly Death herself.

He didn't even need to guess: the recent world-advancing upheaval had definitely rippled into the Marvel Universe via the portals.

Clearly, Death had come snooping after the evolution ended, eager for intel.

In a flash, Kei appeared inside the Marvel-world Cosmic Fruit, hooked a finger, and dragged the hesitant Hela into his world.

"You still haven't answered me. About what you said, were you serious?"

Hela stood there dumbfounded, while the Death inside her immediately started pretending to be dead.

Zzt zzt...

Golden magical sparks flared.

Just as Kei was about to continue teasing the two of them, with a casual kick, he sent Hela flying back into the Marvel Universe.

As the golden portal stabilized, Kushina, who had just woken from unconsciousness, burst out of it.

"Kei! What just happened?! Are you alright?!"

She anxiously inspected him head to toe.

"Relax, it was a good thing. I promise I'll let you know next time."

Kei chuckled, pulling her into his arms, finally letting out a deep sigh of relief.

With a thought, he temporarily shut down the Marvel Universe's portal.

After all, you gotta pick the right time for the right things.

If Kushina caught him flirting again in the middle of a cosmic upheaval, he'd have a real domestic crisis on his hands.

Meanwhile, in the Marvel universe—

From deep below Kamar-Taj, Hela had just blasted out of the ground and shot into the sky, nearly getting kicked into the solar system.

Now curled up like a shrimp, her organs felt as if they'd all been shattered.

Inside her, even Death herself felt it.

Fuck!

What's wrong with that lunatic?!

One second, he's ogling me with interest, next second, he literally kicks me to the stars?!

Death cursed under her breath, determined that this insane man would never touch even a strand of her hair again.
