Chapter 97 - The Walls He Builds

I want to ask you what it is.

What weighs on your heart so heavy

that it steals the light from your eyes.

I want to ask…

even though a part of me already knows

I may not be able to fix it.

Because love, no matter how strong,

cannot mend what someone refuses to share.

And yet, I still ache to ask.

But I can see it ,

the silence you wear like armor,

the quiet distance you keep

because the world has taught you

that men are not meant to be soft.

That they are not meant to cry.

That they are not meant to be anything

but unshakable walls.

So you hold it in.

You bury it deep.

And I… I stand here,

wanting nothing more than to be

the one place where you don't have to.

But you won't tell me.

Not because you don't trust me,

but because the world never taught you how to trust yourself

with your own breaking.

You swallow it down,

and I watch you drown in silence.

And still, I stay.

Because I believe that one day

you'll see that I'm not here to judge your cracks

I'm here to hold them.

I don't need a man who never feels.

I need the man who feels so deeply,

he's only ever been afraid to show it.

So I won't ask again.

Not with words.

But I will hold your hand longer,

stay by your side quieter,

and love you until you realize

you were never meant to be a wall.

You were always meant to be a man,

and even men are allowed to break.
