He let most of his awareness slide back into the original body on the mountain ledge and sent a simple command down into the clone.

The clone turned and began descending the inner path at an easy, natural pace.
Kai watched through his own eyes as it vanished under the lip of stone, then leaned into the secondary sensory stream and followed from within the other body as well.
That was the strangest part.
He was standing in the cold dawn wind with one body.
At the same time he was walking down warm, lamp-lit tunnels with another.
His mind did not like it. It tried very hard to convince him that being in two places at once meant he should commit properly to one and stop being difficult. He ignored it and kept both streams alive.
The clone entered the morning like nothing was unusual.
