"You really don't want to eat some mushroom bread? It tastes pretty good."

Leuf smiled, rubbing his hands together as he looked at Allen. Allen glanced at him.

He spoke, with a pointed tone.

"You've been very actively preparing meals since you got on the ship this morning. Roasted fish, vegetable soup, mushroom bread—quite a variety. Were you a cook or a thief before?"

Leuf seemed to unconsciously turn his head to look at Klem, who was in the distance, reciting a chant for 'Divine Descent' from his notes, looking like a human flint striker.

His smile grew even wider.

"In my previous adventurer team, I wasn't a thief; I was a warrior. Klem was the thief. But I can do this kind of work, too. After every adventure, I would cook with my wife when I got home." Leuf scratched his face. "Although my cooking isn't as good as hers, I know these simple cooking techniques."

"You're doing great." Allen glanced at the thief adventurer who was helping pull in the fishing net, a man who was supposedly the best cook among the twenty or so people.

But now he was a complete failure.

Slap. The fishing net was thrown onto the deck.

"Oh! How clumsy! Mr. Allen is watching! You don't even know how to use a fishing net. You should go be a cook!"

"Shut up!! Isn't Leuf's food good?! Move! I'll do it again!!"

"Hahahaha!"

The failure couldn't even conceal his enthusiasm for changing jobs. This was born from the human instinct of curiosity about the unknown and the expectation of a reward.

"The cook is about to lose his job." Allen said, and his stomach suddenly rumbled. Leuf, seeing this, lifted the wooden basket he had been holding.

Inside were three kinds of bread: brown, light gray, and dark gray. They were all mixed with fish meat and baked together. The fragrance of the mushrooms diluted a lot of the fishy smell and was very popular among the adventurers.

Leuf took out a brown one and a light gray one and offered them to Allen.

"Do you want to try some?"

Allen looked at Leuf, then took the brown one from his hand and broke off a piece. He put it in his mouth under Leuf's gaze, speaking as he chewed.

"You're not giving me a piece of the dark gray one?"

Leuf froze for an instant, then quickly replied. "That one doesn't taste good."

Allen remained noncommittal.

"You said your previous adventurer team. What happened to them?"

"They're all dead."

"Is that why you're so eager for revenge?"

"Yes."

"Is that a good reason to recruit new companions?"

Leuf smiled with narrowed eyes. "Some people crave magic stones, some covet that 'secret sword,' and some are just greedy and hypocritical, joining with the excuse of wanting to go to the island in their dreams. All I have to do is find a reason that everyone can agree with, and 'companions' will naturally come!"

Allen looked at Leuf's eyes. "But they're all dead."

"Being an adventurer means taking risks. That's a consensus we all share."

"Now, the consensus is to return to the mainland."

Leuf suddenly chuckled. "After almost dying, everyone wants to go home! I understand! I completely understand!"

Allen raised an eyebrow. "What about you?"

"Who doesn't want to go home?" Leuf looked like a normal person, his eyes bright and staring at Allen.

His expression was inexplicably sincere. "The Archipelago and the storms—how can they compare to the warmth of my wife's embrace at home? That's why I agree with everyone's decision, isn't that right?"

As he spoke, Allen looked at the scar on Leuf's neck, which was crawling like a venomous snake. The detox spell in his abdomen glowed.

The scar stopped crawling. It just looked a little like a snake.

—Whether the mushrooms on the island were poisonous or not, no one knew better than Allen.

The dark brown umbrella mushrooms contained a psychedelic toxin that made people uncontrollably excited. The complicated ocean currents in the storm and the intoxicated navigator and sailors were the fundamental reason the ship was going in circles at sea. If someone hadn't come every once in a while to ask Allen to use 'Divine Descent' to help them find their direction again.

They would have been lost long ago.

The light gray umbrella mushrooms had the opposite effect. They made people drowsy and uncoordinated. The three adventurers who knew the detox spell hadn't come out of the cabin since that afternoon, and they were proof.

Judging by the poison, by the time they realized the poison had spread, it would be difficult for them to even cast a spell.

And the dark gray ones looked the most like normal mushrooms... but...

A cheer came from the sailors who were fishing.

"Hey! This one's a big one!!"

"Wait, this fish looks a little strange."

"Who cares! Give it to Os to look at!!"

"What are you talking about! The boss has been throwing up all afternoon! He's still sleeping in the cabin, right?"

"He's burning up with fever! I touched him!"

"He must have gotten sick from the sudden relaxation after holding on for three months, right? It's a good thing we have Mr. Allen!! Go show it to him!!"

Allen turned to look at a piece of wood that they had pulled out of the water. He said casually, "Throw it back."

A cry of dismay. Thump, the wood was thrown back into the sea.

He turned. Leuf was looking at Allen with a burning passion. Allen just quietly looked back at him.

After a long moment, Allen turned to look at the sea again. Leuf smiled and bowed.

This scene was watched by someone on the second floor.

"Leuf..."

The bald North Saint, Os, narrowed his eyes at Leuf and Allen. He couldn't see the sickness that the other adventurers had talked about. He picked up the sword sheath on the table and walked out. But before he could get to the door, he stopped again.

He turned and looked at Allen on the deck, who was leaning on the railing with a calm expression.

Os's eyes widened in disbelief. It seemed he had been poisoned.

'Did Mr. Allen realize that those bastards' mushrooms were poisonous?? Wait! Tonight! If Mr. Allen doesn't act tonight, I'll kill him!!'

'How dare you seek revenge? You're overestimating yourself! Just you?! Just you?!!'

His inner monologue was fervent. A gnashing sound came from his hands, which were shaking uncontrollably.

The seven or eight iron tags with the names of his dead companions, which he held in his hand, had been crumpled into a lump of iron.

"How dare you seek revenge... how dare you..."

"You know nothing about the 'Ghost Blade Secret Sword'... nothing at all..."

"I'm going back. I'm going back to the mainland. I'll give my brothers' tags to their families..."

"I have to go back..."

His voice was not the same as his inner monologue.

It was trembling.

The person who was entrusted with great expectations was thinking.

His eyes flickered.

Allen, just like the sailors who were fishing, was also 'fishing.'

More accurately, he was trying to figure out if the 'fish' he caught was a fat carp to eat, or a useless piece of rotten wood.

'Lala Boreas Greyrat's message to me can't have been a joke. I can't raise a child so devious in any lifetime. The embodiment is complete, and I have gained the ability. The disappearance of the miniature magic circle is proof of a successful embodiment.'

'Someone from the future used a 'reincarnation' to send their ability to me.'

'But it's not the ability of the Demon Dragon King Laplace. That's why the 'Reincarnation Embodiment Manual' didn't have it on file. It proves that there's another source.'

'My body is normal. I've checked it again. The abilities I have are the same as what the 'Reincarnation Embodiment Manual' says.'

'The only difference is that sudden, strange dream I've been having for seven days.'

Allen was not looking at the sea. He was looking at the broken railing on his hand. The dream, which had been repeating for a week, was so vivid that the color, the cracks, and the direction of the wood fibers were all clear in his mind.

It was exactly the same as what he saw in front of him. And...

The hand that was beside him, which could calm him with its warmth, who was it?

Although he wasn't really fishing, the intense doubt from the unknown was forcing him to figure it out.

The dream couldn't have been for nothing. And the fact that it happened at the same time as the Great Teleportation meant it was 'life-or-death.'

When Allen boarded the ship, he had asked about the broken railing. He was told that it was there before the ship was repaired, caused by a shipwreck, and no one had bothered to fix it because it was not essential to the ship's structure.

The adventurer who answered him had also cautiously asked Allen if he wanted him to fix it.

Allen had been silent for a moment, then shook his head.

'I've never been on this ship before. I couldn't have imagined the crack in the railing in my dream. And it's in the exact same spot. If the dream is indeed a manifestation of an ability, it's more like a hypersensitive perception of information. It used a dream to help me acquire information beyond my 'line of sight.'

'From this perspective, it's like a Water God Style...'

'...No, that's not right. What kind of Water God Style is this? It might as well be called a Bed God Style. You can get information by dreaming in bed? My brain is getting a rest; how can it get any information?'

'Let's guess the source of the embodiment.'

'The 'reincarnation' in the original story involved people who possessed divine gems that maintained the divinity of gods. I'm almost certain that it required a divine gem to be accomplished.'

'The people in the original story who had divine gems were the Dragon God Orsted, the Dragon King Perugius, and the fused form of Demon God Laplace and God of Technique Laplace—the Demon Dragon King Laplace.'

'But the Dragon Race's secret arts they used were all known to God of Technique Laplace. If it were a Dragon Race secret art, it would have been on file in my 'Reincarnation Embodiment Manual,' but it's not.'

'The Dragon King's summoning spell is also different.'

'So, is it from Lala Boreas Greyrat?'

'...Dream... The ability of dreams... Dream... Lara Human God...'

Allen's expression froze.

'Wait... dream?'

'On the way to the royal capital, that night in Mortalit, both Isolte and Sylphy had dreams under the influence of Human God and Lara.'

'No, Lara and Human God are already one. So that was a result of Human God's split personality playing against each other.'

'That dream... HITOGAMI was definitely manipulating Isolte, no doubt about it. Sylphy's dream could also be connected to Lara. That's... that's very intriguing. That dream...'

Allen's face was a little stiff. '...A month ago, it seemed like I had a dream. It was just a threesome wet dream with the three of them... Is Lara really that perverse?'

'...The variable that the dream brought about was that Isolte, Sylphy, and I could take a walk that night and talk. They became closer. And then, because I was suspicious of Human God, I coincidentally accepted Isolte, avoiding a possible trap by Human God. The final outcome was...'

'...I've started a harem??'

'So, the ability that my dream brought about is to start a harem??'

Allen was stunned for a long time. He suddenly realized that he had subconsciously started to eat bread again because he was hungry. He quickly shook his head.

Just then, the keywords of Sylphy and 'dream' suddenly brought back a memory from over two years ago, when he first came to Buena Village.

The point of change in the events after he entered Buena Village flashed through Allen's mind like lightning, making his thoughts light up.

'Wait... that's not right. The game between Lara and HITOGAMI started even earlier! The first time I came to Buena Village, I also had a dream during Sylphy's event. In the dream, Sylphy was being bullied. But because I had read the original novel, I knew about this information, so I just assumed it was a dream.'

'But that dream was what drove me to take the first step of change.'

'Now it seems this was the true beginning of a series of positive butterfly effects! If I hadn't made contact with Sylphy, she wouldn't have been involved with us at that time, and she wouldn't have been taken in by the suddenly returning Roxy as a disciple!'

'This was a counter to HITOGAMI's 'make me contact Roxy' plan!'

'After that, in Roa City, Sylphy and Roxy's letters helped me overcome my inner struggles, and I successfully gained 'desire,' which allowed me to block 'Human God.' The royal capital's scheming could then be unfolded!''

'The master-disciple relationship between Sylphy and Roxy was the true beginning of my happy ending in this loop!'

'So...'

'...'

The sea breeze slapped Allen's face. In the distance, lightning connected the black sea.

Allen's face was blank.

'So... the ability that my dream brought about is to create a harem?'

'Or is it that Lara Greyrat personally helped me create a harem with Roxy and Sylphy? Is that even appropriate?'

'From this perspective, it should be my biological daughter from the second loop, Lala Boreas Greyrat, who helped me create a harem, that would be logical. But she isn't Lara, who is 'Human God.' So how did she interfere with that 'cycle' of time?'

In his thoughts, Allen felt the distant lightning starting to climb into his eyes again. He quickly used a detox spell to dispel the poison in his body.

Only then did his mind clear up. He thought of his previous deduction, and his face was as grim as if he had eaten excrement.

'These mushrooms are f*ing poisonous. How could I deduce that the ability of my dream was to create a harem?'

'Lara clearly has 'divinity.' Let's throw logic out the window for now.'

'Dream! The ability of the dream is not to create a harem, nor is it some kind of 'super-distance' information supersensitivity!'

'It's Lara's prophecy! It's precognition in the truest sense of the word!'
