Chapter 180 - Chapter 179: The Adventure Begins

In an instant, lightning crackled around Goku, lifting him gently into the air. A veil of light enclosed him, and his body began to shrink at astonishing speed…

The women who had hurried over froze where they stood, stunned by the sight.

"N–No way…?"

---

"Your wish has been granted. Now… farewell."

The majestic voice rolled across the sky. The coiling dragon dissolved from the Sky, and the seven Dragon Balls scattered as seven streaks of light, shooting toward different corners of the universe.

"You've got to be kidding me…" Goku stared blankly at his now-small body.

It had all happened too fast. Before he even realized it, he'd been dragged into the Dragon Ball GT storyline. By the time he sensed something was wrong, the wish had already been granted. Inevitably—just as in the original—he had turned back into a child.

Which meant the next thing on the horizon… would be the Evil Dragons, right?

"You lot are really something—truly hateful." Goku's gaze turned cold as he looked at the Pilaf trio.

"My dream of conquering the world…" Pilaf, oblivious to Goku's killing intent, sat on the ground in utter despair, face full of dejection.

"Go chase that dream in hell." Goku barked, thrusting out one hand. Pilaf, Mai, and Shu were yanked into the air by a mysterious force.

"W–What's happening?!" the three cried, terrified as they looked at Goku. "W–What are you going to do? Don't—don't!"

"Repent in the underworld." Goku's right hand clenched. With a wet pop, the three exploded into a mist of blood.

He was truly, thoroughly furious.

"They actually… turned me… into a kid…" He looked at his small hands and, imagining the headaches to come with a ring of women around him, grew gloomy all over again.

"G–Goku?" Saeko and the others stared with sparkling eyes—why were their eyes shining like that?

"He… he shrank? What on earth just happened?" Cai Lin and the rest were dumbstruck.

"So… so cute…" Shizuka squealed, lunging forward to scoop him into a tight hug.

"Hey, hey—how did he suddenly get so small? Are we really not going to comment on this?"

Cao Ying gaped as Shizuka continued to "squish" the pint-size Goku. A full-grown man turning into a little kid right before her eyes… it was a lot to process.

"M–Master… are you really… my master?"

Moonlight stared, dazed.

"Wahaha! I don't know what happened, but Goku turned into a little brat—this is too funny!" Zi Yan clapped, eyes sparkling. She patted the "captive" Goku still stuck in Shizuka's embrace. "From now on, big sis will cover you."

"Hee-hee–Goku-nii became Goku-kun," chirped Alice, as a few little girls crowded in, eyes gleaming.

"Quit it… I'm already in a foul mood."

"Goku, what exactly happened? How did you suddenly—hehe—become this cute?" Kushina started serious, then couldn't help a soft laugh, maternal warmth spilling out.

That only made Goku more frustrated. In a huff, he pounced into Kushina's arms and—acting out—took a playful, not-so-gentle bite at her boobs.

"Mm—!" Kushina trembled, nearly going weak at the knees as a blush washed over her face.

The younger girls—Cao Ying and the rest—flushed scarlet at the sight. They averted their eyes with a flustered little huff.

"Enough. What actually happened?" Saeko stepped in, lifting the squirming Goku out of Kushina's arms.

"Sigh… I got careless and got played by that idiot from earlier. He accidentally wished on the dragon to make me small—and here we are." Goku let out a helpless breath.

"The dragon? But aren't the Dragon Balls in your keeping? And that wasn't like Namek's Shenron either—where did it come from?" Yuriko frowned.

"Hey, what are you all talking about? Dragon? Seven Dragon Balls? I didn't understand a word! Was that huge dragon from before the 'Shenron' you mean? That pressure really was terrifying!" Cao Ying protested.

"We can explain later—don't interrupt," Saya said, pushing up her glasses.

"Then take out the Dragon Balls you're keeping and wish yourself back to normal," Bulma said breezily. Saeko and the others weren't panicking because they knew Goku had the Dragon Balls.

"I don't think that's possible…" Dende—standing at the edge before anyone noticed—spoke up.

"What do you mean?" Saeko and the others tensed.

"Because those seven Dragon Balls aren't the ordinary kind," Goku answered with a sigh, picking up the thread. "They were created when Earth's former God was at the peak of his power—before the split with King Piccolo. They're extremely evil Dragon Balls, far stronger than the normal set. To fix this, we'll have to find the original seven Dragon Balls."

"Y-Yes… I never thought they still existed," Dende said, face tight with worry. "The former God must have hidden them in the deepest chamber of the Lookout."

"Oh? So we're going on a Dragon Ball hunt again? Ah… the nostalgia." Bulma smiled, eyes distant with old memories.

"…It won't be that simple," Goku said. "This time, the Dragon Balls aren't scattered just across Earth—they're scattered throughout the entire universe." He sighed, though a flicker of anticipation rose in his heart.

'The Evil Dragons, huh? Looks like things won't be boring.'

"W-What? The entire universe?!" Bulma's eyes went wide.

"Across the universe… to find seven Dragon Balls? How are we supposed to do that?" Saeko and the others went slack-jawed, worry creeping in.

"Did you get any of that?" Cao Ying asked Dan Chen, who shook her head, equally lost.

"Mentor Ruo Lin, did you understand?" Xiao Yu turned to her teacher.

Ruo Lin shook her head with a gentle smile.

"Don't worry. Since Goku brought us here, he'll explain everything."

"Dragon Balls… the universe…" These were brand-new words to them; understanding immediately would have been a miracle.

"Eh? So Goku's going to stay like this from now on? Not bad, actually…" Shizuka hugged Saeko and, in the process, sandwiched the pint-size Goku between them. Soft pressure closed in from all sides; Goku felt like he was floating… Perks of being small, apparently—though breathing was a little difficult.

"Goku is adorable like this… but if it's permanent, that would be troublesome," Yuriko said, rubbing his cheek with a fond smile.

"Right…" Bulma's cheeks warmed. "I'll have to upgrade the Dragon Radar. Goku, let's head back to my place first."

"Back to your place? Sure… but I forgot to mention—we're thirty years past our original time point. I'm not even sure your mom and dad will recognize you…"

"Th–Thirty years later?!" Bulma yelped. "H-Hey! What's going on? Don't you have that dimensional shuttle? Hurry and go back to our original world!"

"I tried just now… but we can't return for the time being. Our original time point seems frozen. It's like the shuttle's malfunctioned…" He said it to keep them from worrying, though his heart grew heavier. "Somehow we ended up thirty years in the future, our time point is locked, and I've been turned into a kid. Also… my shuttle should far surpass that evil dragon's power—so how did its wish affect me at all? It feels like… all of this is a conspiracy aimed at me."

As he thought it through, fighting spirit surged within him.

'Hmph. Whoever you are, you'll show yourself eventually. When you do, you can taste my iron fist.'

"That shuttle of yours can malfunction? Talk about unreliable… Whatever—let's go home first. After thirty years, I'm sure my parents have been worried sick…" Bulma's voice wavered with sadness. How had they jumped three decades ahead in an instant?

After saying goodbye to Dende and Mr. Popo, Goku gathered everyone and, with a single Instant Transmission, they appeared in the garden at Bulma's house. "Garden" was putting it mildly—it was basically a forest.

Bulma's mother was watering flowers with a kettle. Thirty years had taken their toll; she no longer had her old mature glamor, and wrinkles touched her face.

Seeing the sudden crowd of beautiful women, she froze.

"Who… are you?"

Goku was so small he barely reached their hips and was completely hidden amid the "sea" of figures.

"Mom… Mom…" Tears welled in Bulma's eyes at the sight of her aged mother. She rushed into her arms, sobbing. "I'm sorry… I'm so sorry… for making you worry…"

"Eh? B-Bulma?" Her mother's eyes went wide with disbelief.

"Are… are you really Bulma?"

A daughter missing for thirty years suddenly standing before her—it felt unreal.

"Mhm." Bulma sniffled and nodded hard.
