Chapter 147 - Perfume Pet

Succubi Chapter 147. Perfume Pet

Adrian and Felix leaned in, now suddenly interested. Kyra glanced between them, then back at me, her tone like she was revealing a cursed royal lineage.

"She's a shadow assassin. The best one out of all the new recruits. She could create poison. Any type of poison. From anything."

I cringed. "Uh… she won't kill me."

Adrian tapped my shoulder like a disappointed uncle. "No. Don't assume too fast."

I gave him a look. "You saying Evelyn's gonna assassinate me with floral perfume?"

He just nodded, solemnly. "Women are frightening."

He patted my shoulder again, extra dramatic this time. "All women are."

He paused.

"Except Lilith, of course. She's a goddess."

I cringed so hard my ribs twitched. "Please don't start."

Felix chuckled. "Well… maybe she won't kill you," he said, tone way too amused. "Maybe she just wants to do something. And for that…"

He leaned closer. Wicked grin forming like it had a mind of its own.

"She needs to weaken you first."

Adrian blinked. "What do you mean by do something?"

Felix's grin widened. "Isn't it obvious?"

He raised his hands for effect. "Evan is the only male in that dorm room, right?"

I frowned. "Yeah, so?"

"So maybe…" Felix's eyes gleamed. "After Evan's all weakened, maybe she'll tie him up."

He clapped his hands together like a villain revealing his evil plan.

"Tie. Him. Up."

He let that hang in the air like cursed poetry.

"Then… she will play with him all night…"

I stared at him. "I thought rich guys had more normal ways of thinking."

Felix shrugged, grinning. "Hey, no complaints. I'm just saying what everyone's afraid to say out loud."

Adrian narrowed his eyes. "That's why you tied that rune near your crotch yesterday."

Felix waved his hands fast. "Hey, hey, that was strategic placement! My opponent was a sexy banshee! I only wanted to… take my chance…"

His voice trailed off as everyone stared at him.

"She was into screaming," Felix defended. "I thought maybe she'd like… commands."

Adrian turned slowly, blinking like he'd just taken psychic damage. "You're a degenerate."

Felix smiled smugly." Thank you."

Adrian turned to me, eyes pleading. "Please. Just go back to being the drama magnet. At least you pull all the attention."

"I smell like lavender boobs right now, Adrian," I said, deadpan. "I am the attention."

Felix started cackling. "Lavender boobs! Perfect nickname! Lads, I motion we call Evan that for the rest of the week."

"I second it," Adrian muttered, still red.

"I object."

"Motion passed," Felix said smugly.

Kyra shook her head. "You're all idiots."

Then… she lowered her head a little.

And in a much softer, suspiciously unKyra tone, she mumbled, "But also… I kinda wanna see if Evelyn really does tie him up…"

My head snapped in her direction so fast it nearly dislocated. I stared at her in open disbelief. "I heard that."

Her eyes went wide like she didn't expect me to catch that. Her cheeks lit up in that pinkish reddish caught in 4K shade and she waved her hands like she could airbrush the words out of existence. "I mean, just for the drama! Or—or like… for research purposes!"

"Research." I repeated slowly, deadpan. "Kyra. That's not how academic observation works."

She cleared her throat. "Well, I don't see you offering a more scientific approach."

"I don't see why anyone needs to conduct a study on me getting tied up by a potential assassin!"

Adrian leaned on his desk with that smug 'I'm so glad it's not me' expression. "Honestly, I'd read that research paper."

Felix smirked. "I'd fund it."

I rubbed my temples. "What did I do to deserve this?"

Kyra leaned forward, suddenly thoughtful. "I mean, think about it. Evelyn's a shadow assassin. She's basically trained in binding, infiltration, pressure point strikes, and like… every form of silent takedown known to man."

"And if she really did tie you up, it wouldn't even be basic. She'd probably use triple-wrapped shadow-fiber knots laced with mild paralyzing agents just to see if you'd struggle the right way."

I blinked at her. "How do you know so much about assassination rope techniques?"

She immediately looked away. "I read."

Felix raised an eyebrow. "Yeah, smut novels probably."

Kyra flushed. "It's called tactical bondage theory, okay?"

Adrian let out a low whistle. "New elective next semester?"

Felix smacked the table. "Sign me up."

"Oh Gods..." I muttered.

"Can we please focus on the fact that you all think Evelyn is planning to kidnap Evan?" Kyra shouted.

Adrian shrugged. "To be fair, she's more than capable of doing it."

Felix added, "And Evan did accept something she sprayed on his bare skin."

"Because I didn't want to smell like dead orc sweat!" I snapped. "She offered it. I said yes. That's it."

Kyra raised an eyebrow. "She offered her perfume. She could've handed you a freshener or just backed off. But no. She gave you hers. That's like claiming a wolf cub with a scent marker."

"What am I, her pet?!"

Adrian held up a finger. "She patted your head. I saw."

"My shoulder," I corrected him.

Felix nodded. "And wiped your face this morning."

Kyra crossed her arms. "And you still smell like her. A lot."

"I can't control the strength of her fragrance! It's a gym parfume!" I groaned.

They all went silent.

And then Kyra muttered, "That's actually a thing."

I stared at her. "Don't confirm it like it's normal!"

Felix leaned back. "You're already marked, Evan. Mentally. Socially. Maybe even magically."

Adrian nodded. "The whole class knows. The professors know. The entire dorm building probably knows."

Kyra leaned forward again, expression suspiciously curious. "Did she… whisper anything this morning? Like something suggestive? A trigger phrase?"

I gave her a look. "No! What even is a trigger phrase?!"

"You know, like… 'Good boys smell sweet' or something."

Adrian wheezed. "That sounded too practiced, Kyra."

Kyra slapped his arm. "Shut up."

Felix laughed. "If she did say that and Evan didn't even notice, we're all doomed."

"She didn't," I groaned. "She just said I'd smell better with it on."

"Ohhh no," Adrian breathed. "That is a trigger phrase."

"I am not some kind of brainwashed perfume pet!"

"You sure?" Kyra asked, narrowing her eyes. "You haven't tried to bark or follow her around yet?"
