Alessendro was still missing. It had been weeks, but they still were unable to locate him and hadn't been contacted by him. They still hadn't gotten anything about him, which gave a red sign to Nicholas.
Even after Lorenzo had pushed past his limits, there was still no track of him, which made everyone lean into the latter option, which Nicholas had prayed for not to be true.
Something had happened to Alessandro.
And it was making everyone weary and stay on high alert because if something had really happened to Alessandro, it wasn't a good sign, and anything could happen at any moment. But Nicholas still didn't lose hope as he wished for their conclusion not to be true.
Not just because it could make things out of his control, putting them at a disadvantage and being unable to reach the truth and get a grip on Matthew's weakness, but also because Alessandro was like a younger brother to him.
