Back at Hou's house,
"You've met my master, Mo Huai, this is my master's master. She has also been extremely helpful to Hamar and I, Qi Lan and her disciples." Hou introduced to Arm as he stepped into the door.
Jin and Yan introduced themselves, and Hou gestured for everyone to move into a meeting room together.
"Thank you all for coming, I'm sure you are all busy though. If I can, I'll just keep Jin and William. Everyone else may go back and sort out the aftermath of the war against Yi Sect."
Mo Huai ran his hand through his hair, "Can I get a quick rundown on what happened, as a report for the sect leader? He'll be moaning at me for it anyway."
Hou shook his head and shoo'ed his hand, "Don't worry about that. If everything goes right, somebody else should be there when you return to solve it..."
Mo Huai furrowed his brows, "Hou..." he saw a look in his disciples eyes, "Who is it?"
Averting his gaze from his master Hou murmured quietly, "Zhou Tian."
"What was that?" He thought he heard something, but it didn't make sense, and without his cultivation working he had the heating of a mortal man.
"Zhou Tian...yes, from the myths. The one who was the first to harness the abilities of the world." Hou thought back on the myths, 'First to unravel the magic of spirits, bringing about cultivation ultimately...'
He had yet to reveal magic to the False World. There were many reasons, but the main one at this point was that he had given it as a gift to Jin and felt it unfair to reveal it before she masters it.
"He was alive, and became the leader of Yi Sect....but the main thing is that he's switched sides now, trust him." Hou added.
"Well that's good to know BUT ZHOU TIAN?! You can't just say, 'yes from the myths'?! THE Zhou Tian?!"
Secretly behind his back, Hou had felt the glass ball and tried to use it to call for Xavier, he was drowning out Mo Huai's voice.
He was curious how it worked, if Xavier didn't have any ability other than extended life and World-hopping, how could he communicate through Worlds with a simple glass ball? And why couldn't he look into it, as a God with authority?
Before he could contemplate further, Xavier appeared. Jumping up from the floor as it rippled like water; as he always did.
"Bringing them back now?" He said freely, he had travelled to nearby worlds but he still needed to search them manually for anyone of authority. If the world had no living god, there may still be people like Araxis who has usurped some limited control.
Mo Huai protested, "explain a bit mor–"
Hou ignored him, turning to Qi Lan looking for allowance to keep Jin.
She nodded lightly, then pinched Mo Huai's ear, "Let's leave the boy to his duties, don't you think a God has a lot to do. More than us anyway," she turned to Yan and held out her hand.
They needed to be connected to travel with Xavier, she had pinched Mo Huai and held Yan's hand. Arm waved goodbyes to his son's friends and masters just before Xavier put his hand on Yan's shoulder and vanished; falling through the floor.
Hou laughed, "So you two."
The only people remaining in the room were Hou, Arm, Jin and William. Arm sat in the corner, Jin and William stood on opposing ends of the room facing Hou. They weren't against eachother, they just knew little if eachother personally.
"I get keeping him, but why'd you need me?" Jin raised her eyebrows.
Hou snapped his fingers and entered into a mindscape with Jin and William. From their perspectives, nothing changed.
Even 'Arm' reacted as they expected though he was not invited to this mindscape, they had no idea they were in a mindscape.
With the calm, Hou gained an ability corresponding to that emotion. He did not know what it would be normally, but with his authority over the world he started to gain an intuitive sense.
He picked up a cup beside him and threw it to Jin. She reached her hands out to catch it when–
He used the ability. Calmness, serenity, still water. He mentally tapped the cup he had thrown in the air and it froze.
Jin was surprised and felt a power well up within her.
'Not mana' inside her a pit of power was filled.
Similarly, William gained Curiosity. That well of power inside his self only caused more Curiosity. He snorted, "So that's it..."
Jin turned, 'that's it?' she thought.
Hou laughed, he was gaining many different emotions. Their numbers grew within him and once they became dominant he could burn them and activate the ability corresponding.
"What is it William?" He asked.
"This is it, the new power. A new world oughta have a new power, this is it. How does it work?" He tried to tap into his Curiosity. An eye formed above him and his vision seemed to become amplified, he could almost see what was GOING to happen.
Hou broke the mindscape, and as the one who created it, the two of them fell out of it also. Arm saw the three's bodies snapping back to reality from a slump.
"That is an..." He thought of a name, "Emotional Mindscape. As you guessed it's the power of this world, you'll have to learn to control this William. And pass on your knowledge to others. Be careful, the power is much more dangerous than another. If one does in the Emotional Mindscape too many times, it can be more than fatal."
He waited a moment for it to settle in, "you can enter and break a mindscape with a single thought. Just keep that in mind." He turned to Jin, "I brought you specifically to teach you, about Magic."
Jin lit up, she was given some knowledge on Magic from Hou's residual consciousness he left her but it was simple and she had not become too accustomed to it yet.
"Noone except you in your world should know about Magic. Whether to reveal it or not is your decision. I will also teach you what I can about Cultivation. About some secrets that not even the Sect Leader knows of." Hou thought about what he learnt from Zhou Tian, about falsifying laws.
He turned to William, "And you shall become the leader of Hamartia, you will need to learn a lot also. I hope you can do that, Arm."
Arm nodded, "I'd love to, that'll lighten my load once he becomes competent." He laughed and stood up, "Then shall we go?" He put his arms around William and turned his head, "You can teach the girl for a bit."
Hou nodded and rolled his shoulders. He had a lot of little 'human' things to do before he could even think of acting like a real God.
'Oh it is hard to be a God...' he lamented.
